So in the last lesson, we learned how to do an ad set, we learned how to create our audience who go after to go after specific targeting to add in our budget and all of those things. So once that is all finalized, the next page facebook will bring you to is the page where you could design your ad creative. And this is the page where you learn in, you know, either images or video, or just if you have one, that sort of thing, and you'll also be able to add in your ad copy and put in your call to action. Alright, so let's get started with this. Now what I wanted to do was pick an example of a niche because if you've got a store, chances are you've got a specific niche idea that you're going after not too many people will have a complete generalized store.

So for Example on your niche maybe maybe you do items just related to soccer or you do items just related to the outdoors, camping market or, or items related to, you know people who like to stay at home I don't know. Whatever drove you in order to create your own store, I'm sure that there's some kind of passion behind it and you want to show that passion off so I thought today would be a fun nice Jesus's example and I came up with dolphins because one of my clients loves dolphins, this was talking about dolphin so it kind of stuck in my mind and I thought, Well, a lot of people love dolphins and that would actually probably be a very profitable niche because there's so many different items you could get with dolphins on it that dolphin lovers would enjoy. So when coming up with the ad name again, you want to be as specific as possible and I know that I want to create a video For the I name, I'm just going, I just came up with this.

I saw jewelry wrong. There we go. Thank goodness, Facebook has spellcheck on so let's so I'm pretending that I'm going to build a video for my golfing niche, and it's specifically going to be difficult dolphin jewelry, and I'm using a shorter my shorter copy ad version. So then is I'm creating my other ad where I'm using a test ding against longer copy, then of course, I would change that to keep it exactly the same and just changed shorter copy to longer copy. Okay, um, so that's my, just the ad name. And the next thing you want to do is come down to format now format is where you will select the type of visual that you're going to be using.

So again, you might want to split test a few of these different things. A single image, just you know, it's pretty straightforward. It's where you put it in. One images or it's just a, it's just a static image ad. And what Facebook will allow you to do is add in up to six images. And if you do that for the budget you put in Facebook will design six different ads with one each of those images, you upload it.

So you could upload six images. But I would not recommend doing that, especially in a budget of only $5 a day. Because when you're doing a very, very small amount into every single ad, and it's gonna take forever to get a good statistic on which ad is out beating another ad visual. So I would suggest I personally have photos I only ever like split testing two things at a time, just my own preferences. And the other thing to keep in mind is that Facebook may take two to three days in order to split them kind of evenly. But that doesn't always happen.

So you'll notice when you split testing Facebook Very quickly, we'll pick something it prefers for. I don't even know how they make that selection. And you could, for example, if I chose a, let's say, you get one ad that, you know, 300 people could be looking at it and the other ad, you know, the reach on it is only 100 people. And that's not going to give you a good accurate reading on what's going on. Because obviously, one got shown a heck of a lot more people. And so just keep that in mind when you split testing.

But I generally find at about day three is when it starts evening out a little bit, but again, not always. So just keep that in mind. And yeah, I wouldn't recommend doing six image testing all at the same time. So try to do two, maybe three. Okay, here's where you would upload your video. If you want to create a slideshow so you've got some really nice visuals and or you have a you want to shoot different angles Have a product, this would be a great way to do it.

So you would use the same product for slideshow. But you would, you would go ahead and show different options and different angles for that same product, you know, and then you want to test out the options like you might want to test it using this a carousel ad or you might even try this thing, the full screen experience. It's really neat. It's really different. It works fabulous, and it's super visual. And it's a nice scrolling type image on mobile.

So if you for sure for sure are only going to go after the mobile market. This is definitely something you should look at as well. The nice thing The reason I like selecting slideshow is because then instead of me spending money on creating a video, if I want something just very simple, especially if I have something very visual, then I will allow Facebook to go ahead and create the video for me. So that's what I'm going to show you because everything else is pretty much straight forward. But I want to show you how to create a video And the other thing I want you to keep him on with the video, of course, you want to add in your products from images from different angles, but you also want to use, we already learned how to use Canva. So you want to use something like Canva make that first image on the video really stand out.

So if it's like a Black Friday, for example, you want that first image to say, Black Friday sale and put your visual in there. So just make that first image look different. And then go ahead and add in your visuals from there. Okay, so in order to get images, I'm just going to go ahead and borrow some images. Just for the example I'm not going to run this ad. I just want to again, I just wanted to do this on a non real ad because I wanted to give you guys let you know how to do it.

But I also wanted to use something a little fun, you know, because learning can be fun. So again, this is Ali Xpress As you may already be familiar with, and I just typed in dolphins, and I just sorted by the number of orders. So whichever is the most popular, like what's trending and the dusk, nice world nowadays, so I'll just pick something that I think is pretty like, I don't know, like this, like this is this is really nice and, and oh, it's like a double dolphin and it's got some color in it. So that's pretty. Let's have a look at that. Alright, so see how they show, you know, closeup of it.

They show it in a different color and, and they show different options, right? So it's really great how ally Express always does this where they show the product shot, either worn in different ways, or with different types of images and this looks like the dolphins are in water which is really pretty. Now when you want to look at when you're deciding on the image that you want to use in your video. First of all, Very important is you have to make sure that you legally can use the image. Very, very important to us. So, to do so, something like this, if you want to be 100% sure you just chuck with the seller and just make sure that you're not using visuals, or even ask the seller.

If there is some other visuals that they have that you might have permission to use. Now anally expressed a lot of visuals, you'll notice multiple people use the same visuals like the same images. So I think it's a little safer only because the seller really wants you to sell it so even think of course they're gonna want you to use your visuals right? However, if you want to be on a on a legal safe side, every time use an image off anywhere on the internet that you did not personally take. Make sure that you have something that says that you are allowed to use it or see something That says you're allowed to use it. And even then I get paranoid, I would take a snapshot snapshot of that and keep it just to prove that I'm allowed to use that image.

Okay, so I'm just gonna poro I'm just gonna pause the video for a second and quickly Borel these, copy these images, and I'll be right back. Okay, so I copied the images over and I'm going to show you how you would put your images together into a slideshow, so you can click the plus symbol, then you're going to click it again over here, then you're going to choose upload images, you're going to click here in order to select your image files. Then you're going to go ahead and select all the images that you want. Click on Open, it's going to upload the images for you verify that all your images are on there. click on Confirm. Okay, and I don't like the order that these are in.

So I'm going to show you That if you try because you should be able to grab what you want, and drag it where you want. However, this is super glitchy and it just never, it's just never easy. So, what I like to do is once your images are upload, just click Cancel, start over again. But you're not actually starting over again because your images are in there. So click the plus symbol. Okay, click on add photos.

And see here it says upload images. And here it says image library. So my images are already in here on my image library, so what I'm going to do is I'm going to click them in the order that I want them to take. So the first thing I want is my black friday sign. Then I want this image, then I want this image and I want this image and then I want the summit and then I'm going to confirm, okay, so now it puts it in the order that I selected the images, it's just much easier and much faster to do do it that way. Okay, so I have five images.

So again, on these, you could choose up to 10 images. So just put in whatever you think is a good variety for your customers to see. Okay, and here's a little mini preview of the slideshow. So what I want to do is just set these things here. So aspect ratio to one a two b square, rectangle vertical, or just keep it as the original images, how long in between the slides, one second, three second, whatever, if they're quick things to look through, I would just keep it at one second. And you can have a transition.

So I like to do like a little fade in between the slides. Then it actually even has a music option, which is really cool and you can listen to the music as well. until you find something I find it goes with what you thought so I'm using dolphins and things Sounds like underwater. Actually, it's kind of a fun song. That sounds like, you know, like sound like. It's kind of like a jovial song, which is what you think of when you think of dolphins, right.

So that's called work. So you can select that to see how the check marks there. Right. And here, I could preview, let's have a look at that. Now, as you can tell, it seems to be going a little bit fast. So I'm gonna go back into settings and I'm going to switch it to three seconds in between.

Now let's have a look at three seconds or two seconds will probably be better. Perfect, so I think two seconds was wonderful. So as you can tell the first image Slide that I did is I created this, this image that basically says Black Friday sale. And again, it's just an example you could do Easter sale and or, you know Valentine's Day Sale or whatever it is that you're creating a promo, in order to do maybe even just wanted to be a weekend sailor, Have a Happy Monday sale. So there's no limits on what you can do. But there you go.

So within a few seconds, I have a nice little video that I can run in my head. So I'm just going to click on Create slideshow and give it a minute to upload. And then I will have the video that I could go ahead and add into my ad. So when I do scroll down and start creating the recipe, right, so under website URL, that's going to be your landing page URL. So www dot your website, dot landing page, whatever you called it around, just call it dot landing page for now. So you get the idea.com Okay, this is where your headline is going to go.

So this is being catered to dolphin lovers, this is where you would cut and paste that wonderful ad copy that we took lots of time to do research for and to create. So this is where your headline would go. So be like, you know, this is a this is an app for dolphin lovers. So I would say like love dolphins, and people who love dolphins might say, Well, yes, I do. That's what you're hoping they say. So you could say something like on your text, it'd be that text he created, but pretty much you know you especially if it's a if it's a product that it's an easy buying decision, you pretty much you want to write your ad copy to do with dolphins and then you want to pretty much say you know, get yours now.

Okay, and somewhere in here. You also want to write down that you're having a blog. Credit sale, it's a Black Friday, when do you still do because I'll get yours. Now, that's pretty much in summary what your entire text is gonna say, because obviously, we've done some research and stuff you might want. I mean, you know, you might want to add some more of those keywords and stuff in there, he might want to add in your Delfont hashtags, whatever those are going to be. And I would also add in hashtag to do with Black Friday, so Black Friday sale, and there's a few hashtags that have to do with black friday if, for example, you're promoting something on Black Friday, and I would suggest you find them and use them because people especially for big sales, like the holiday sales, and for Black Friday sales and Cyber Monday sales and all those people will follow those hashtags religiously, because they want deals.

So I would go ahead and add those and then I would do like a hashtag promo type thing. As well okay, but your research will show you exactly what you need to put in there. I want to give you the category examples of the hashtags you should be using. And then of course, emojis work really well on ads. So you want to go to say, like an emoji calm, which I really like, and what goes good. I mean, they're saving money, you could do something like that.

It has to do with dolphins. I'm sure there's a dolphin emoji somewhere or some kind of emoji that has to do with water or something like that. So but for now, let's just let's just go with the cute little let's go with the money happy face because you're saving money. So let's go use that. See 50% off necklaces, and we'll put a little emoji in there. There we go.

Okay, so use a combination of what your research has shown your ad copy should say, add in, you know, a couple of emojis and of course depends on your product if you're, if you're if it's a fun type of product. Like dolphin necklaces are, then you can use a few more emojis, use your hashtags, especially if it has to do with some type, some time of year or some kind of promo for a specific day. And Wallah, there's not too much else you need to do. Okay, so I've got my video I've got my headline, of course, I can add some more stuff to my headlines, but pretty much I want to talk dolphin lovers. So I really want to use the word dolphin in there somewhere. And then for See here, you can use like description.

You could say something like limited time sale, or one day sale or limited quantity works really well as well. Put some urgency in there somewhere. So limited quantity quantities like us. Okay, and then what you want to do is if you want to drive people directly back to your site, because maybe you've got other type of self employed Next, I would put it up here in your text somewhere, as well. So www dot, I don't know, whatever your URL is. So dolphin loggers.com, whatever my URL is going to be for this makeup store I just made up.

There we go. Alright, it's coming together. So then you just want to make sure that everything else is confirmed and correct. You want to make sure that there's no error messages by Facebook saying that something is not appearing as it should be. And you want to make sure again, just double check that your URL link is going to the right place. So you can go ahead and click your video just make sure it looks okay.

And the images quality on this is terrible because I copied the pictures but of course yours. You're going to make sure that you've got beautiful images, right? I know you will, because you want your video to really stand out and be outstanding. So again, as you can tell if people don't click that play button, they'll at least See that it it's an ad that has something to do with dolphins and something to do with a big black Friday sale and something that we want them to shop now. Okay And as a reminder, the call to action option is safe to use learn more, but test market between learn more and you probably want to test it against the shop now where's that shop now. So again when you doing the split testing between those two, if it's a simple cheap type purchase like if I sold these on sale for like I don't know $5 probably be a little too cheap but $10 to cover shipping and everything.

So if I sold these for $10 and the regular $25 or $20 because I said it's 50% off. You know it's $10 is a pretty easy decision. If you're a dolphin lover, you look at the necklace, you want the necklace, you want to buy the necklace, you want to shop now. Okay, and again if your product is little bit more complicated or higher end price tire, more of a luxury type item, for example, that sort of thing, then I would still be inclined to stick to the learn more. So you can give them more details before they go ahead and cough up a lot of money for to make that product purchase decision. And that is pretty much in summary, what you need to do.

Now one thing before I forget, I'm just going to let you know that if you were to choose, if you had created a professional video, which if you have the means Do it, do it because it won't be worth it. Or if you created a just as well, then that would go under a single video, but what you can do when you select the video option and upload a video, it's going to give you an option to upload captions. Captions have been shown to work very, very well. And captions is A very good spot to add in what the video words are. But also, you know, every once in a while sneak in one of your keywords in there as well. So to really emphasize if you're having a sale, or really emphasize, if you want to attract a certain niche market, just you know, add in your ad copy, like you're doing on the video, and then everyone's fall, you know, you have that freedom to add in a little extra word or two, just to really make your point.

Okay, um, so that is just the final thing I wanted you to know. And so pretty much this entire lesson covered how to design your actual ad within Facebook, how to create your visual, the different types of visual options, how to create a video using images, and just some guidelines again on what you should do while you're building that process. But other than that, you should be good to go and you should have beautiful copy in there. From what you've already designed, so your ad should be looking fabulous. I would love to see some copies of your items if you want to shoot them over. Let me know if I can use some samples because that would be great to do to show other students what other students are doing and selling.

So that would be wonderful. And yeah, I hope you enjoyed this lesson. So now that we have your assets done, and your ad done, I'm going to show you in the next lesson, how to start duplicating your ads in order to edit them and start doing some split testing.
