So after your ad launches, there's a few things you're going to want to do. First thing you want to do is, of course, is ensure that your pixels are firing, okay? Then you also I like to anyway, just triple confirm everything. So it doesn't hurt to go back to the landing page and ensure that there's no error code messages on your pixel. The other thing you want to do is of course, go on to your ad directly and have a look to ensure that your ad looks okay in the Facebook feed. So the first thing we're going to do is just check on the pixels.
In order to do that, you're going to go into ads manager, you're going to click at the very top, you're going to select pixels. Give it a second upload, you're going to select your pixel at the top and click on it. Okay, and the first thing to look at is again, to see verification code that the pixel has been installed correctly. So that's wonderful. And then what I want to point out is this section here, which says all available days. So you could actually select your date range.
So I just want to look at the pixels from last seven days and see what's happened within the last seven days, then we invite you to come down here and you'll notice that the date range I selected appears. And then down here, you're gonna be able to view all of the standard events that you've added to your pixel appear. So page view, again, is just your general pixel view content is a standard event add to cart is the standard event. Initiate checkout is a standard event purchases a standard event. So these are all the different types of things I'm measuring. All right, so then I could just start comparing so how many page views has there been within the last week?
Okay, so 12 points 3000. And how many people have actually landed on the landing page to view content So 1.2 thousand people, okay. And from that how many people have taken other actions. So how many people have added to cart have initiated checkout and have made a purchase. So all you're doing is verifying that everything, of course the status is active, you've got the green light, that there's no error codes on here that everything's functioning and the pixels are firing. And then of course, you want to start doing your preliminary analysis.
So if you have just launched you out, of course, this isn't going to say last seven days, this is going to say, you know, today or Yes, since yesterday, what's happened since yesterday, and then you'll be able to do your reading based on that, but you just want to make sure everything's firing, okay? And everything looks like it is so this is good to go. Alright, the second thing you want to do is actually go and verify your ad. So you're going to click up here, you're going to go in ads manager once you're done ads manager, you're just simply going to select the correct campaign, you're going to select the correct ad set. And that's going to bring you down to the ads level. Or you could just automatically just click on the ads level, I just have multiple ads for different campaigns.
So this is just easier for me to do it the way I just did. But either way you want to be at the ads level, you're going to click it, so it puts a checkmark there and go into Edit. Okay, once you're in Edit, you're going to click this key right here. And that'll give you some options in order to preview your ad. So one of the options that it gives you is if you want to send your ad to your mobile newsfeed, you're going to select that. If you want to see your ad within your desktop feed, then you're going to click this.
So I'm on a desktop computer. So I'm just going to click that. And it's going to go ahead and show me the ad and what it looks like. In full, okay, so this way I can go ahead, I can verify it, make sure it looks okay, make sure it's running. Okay. I could also, if there's been any comments posted, this is where I'll be able to see what the comments, say.
And then I'll also be able to directly respond to those comments that were made on the ad. So basically, everything looks good. And that's all I need to know. So that's verified. Another thing you want to do is go to your landing page. Okay, and once you're on your landing page, you want to select that code that we learned to install in order to verify that the pixel is where it needs to be.
So let's go ahead and click on that. Okay, and everything has got a green checkmark, so that's beautiful. And if it doesn't have a green checkmark, and it has an error code, all you're going to do is click the This, but he call it like a mini arrow or I'm not sure what the term is for that kind of like a mix between a bullet and an arrow. But you're gonna click that. And that's going to bring a drop down and it's going to give you information on what the error is. All right.
So that's how you would use this pixel helper tool, which we learned how to install in another lesson. Okay, so everything's got the green checkmark, everything is good to go. And that's it, my ad is verified. So of course, then you want to go into ads manager and start looking at your columns and start doing your ad reading as soon as possible and just make sure everything looks good that verify that you're spending the amount of money you know that you are spending the $10 or $5 a day that you put in and not accidentally add an extra zero spending $100 that day, whatever just to make sure your the amount spent looks okay. Look to make sure that That you're actually going to look to see what your reach is starting to be, look to see how people are starting to respond. And of course, once you start running your ad, you're going to want to check every single day, you're going to want to check that for, I would say, at least the first seven days, because any numbers that don't look good or aren't meeting our objectives that we pointed out, when we looked how to set up columns, anything that isn't where it should be, you want to quickly start determining what you need to change in order to get a different result.
Or worst case scenario, if all the numbers suck, he wants to know that you need to shut that down as quickly as possible. And rethink your strategy and start with something new. All right, because I mean in marketing, what good marketing is doesn't always mean getting results because sometimes you don't let's just face it like sometimes even though you've done all your research, generally prep work. You You're going to be, you know, more likely to get a good results on your ad. But that's not 100% guarantee. And you need to be able to make that call, when something is just not working, maybe your audience just isn't ready for what you're offering.
Or maybe you should be using a different product entirely. That's good to know. Because good marketing means that you can tell when something's not working, and you make a decision right away to pull it and put something else in, that's going to work. Because that's how you're going to make money is the not to attach to what you need to attach you. You're going to let data and your customers and your audience and all of that tell you what you should be doing. Alright, so I again, hope that this lesson was helpful.
We covered just some quick things that you should do once your ad is up and running in order to verify that everything looks fabulous. that everything is running without any error codes. And to make sure and just once again, just quickly verify all the information you'd put in and verify your pixels. So now that your ad is verified, and everything's running, joining the lexx lesson and then the next lesson, I'm going to show you how to create some custom audiences.
