Hi. So welcome back. And in this video, we're going to be starting to look at the planets and what they mean. And if you've got your handout, which is this one, you will see that we're going to start with the sun. So we've got the sun here, then the moon, and then the Mercury and Venus and Mars, and Jupiter. And then over here, we have Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, and a planet called Cairon.
And then we have the north and the south node. So I'll be covering all that in Module Two. And you do have another handout which gives you a bit more information. And then if you've got the book, as I say, it starts on page two. Okay, so we're going to be starting with the sun and the reason for that is that the sun is the closest planet to us. And then we'll be going out in the order that is on the sheet which is amazing.
Next, and then we'll have Mercury, Venus and Mars because they're all very close to the sun, when you look in the sky. And then after Mars, we always have Jupiter and Jupiter, you can see with the naked eye, sometimes in the night sky, but then we come to Saturn, and you actually have to have a telescope, really to see Saturn. And then we have what we call the three outer planets, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto. So, actually, those three outer planets were not actually discovered until quite recently. And you know, back in 1700, Uranus and then nine came Neptune, and then 1930s we have Pluto. And so the ancients actually didn't use those three outer planets they only used what we call the end up On it on the end of planets rule our everyday life, you know, paying the bills, paying the mortgage, all the things that we have to do in our everyday life, whereas the three outer planets, they actually rule the things that we know are there that we can't actually touch.
So I'm talking about the unconscious, I'm talking about, like psychic and mediumistic. abilities, and things that we know as I say there, but we don't actually we can't learn. They're intangible. Okay, so let's start with the sun. And the sun in your chart, actually, as I said, rules Leo. So the sun actually is your i think is your soul.
It's your essential being, and it's actually shows your heart's desire, and then it actually represents your personality. Your life And your vital life force. It's what keeps us going. And to a certain extent, our energy although Mars is about energy, it is about energy as well. And our true identity and the will, the world to live, the will to be and our ego, you know, and actually, it's about self realization. And it's also to do with our masculine side because you know, Yin and Yang, male and female, you know, opposites we should all have a bit of each so actually represents our masculine side, but also in in the chart.
It also represents your father, or father figures or men that you're attracted to, which is quite interesting, uncertainly when you get into astrology is quite a reverence. To you, and obviously, your son can be in any one of you know, these positions in the chart. And that's what we're going to be covering. So what position is your son in the chart and what that means to you? Okay, so that's the sun. And then the next thing we're going to look at is the moon.
So the moon is our feelings, actually, I thought deep emotions. It's how we react to certain things. You know, some people will look at a film and they won't cry at all. Some people will cry, you know, and it is their moon, their moon position, because obviously the moon can be in any one of the 12 signs just like the sun. And so wherever your moon is, it will mean something, what sign it's in and what position in the chart it's it will mean something to you. The moon is also our habits, our intuition, and our feeling, and our home.
It represents a home and our roots, our ancestry, our family, and it also represents nurturing and carrying, and nostalgia and feeling secure. And like the sun is all about the masculine energy, then the moon is all about the feminine energy. So we have to have both of the Fed we have to have the yin and the yang. So the feminine and being having the feminine energy, it also represents your mother. And so, if you look at the moon in your chart, it does actually explain your relationship with your mother and with the sun. It explains your relationship with your father, all women, you know or or or in The, in the case of the Son, father figures or in the case of the moon mother figures, okay, so don't forget, you've got you know, you can read about this in the book and you have your extra handout about this.
And afterwards if you want to, you know, read all about this because actually can't actually learn this in five minutes. But over time, you know, the more you read, the more you look at books, because there are many, many astrology books out there, the more you will learn and I've actually got this book the key words for astrology because it's simple and I want to keep it simple at this stage of you learning because I don't want to give you too much information and so it's it is a step by step. Okay, so I will see you in the next video for the next us punditry meanings
