Okay, so we're gonna look at the acoustic guitar now I've got such put one side of the Manley compressor on because I know it's a nice compressor. And this acoustic guitars pretty much driving this song. It's quite an aggressive sound. It's quite percussive. So you want to maintain that kind of attacking quality it's got was kind of just make it slightly chunkier and thanks we'll just listen. Listen to it without the insert and without any pretty good sound has to be said quite nice sir.
I just got a tiny bit of top and I'm going to push the compressor in. So decide to actually not use the shelving and cube I'm actually just boosting a bit at about sort of five k on a reasonable wide cue and I'm going to put the high part filter in. what it wants to do is try and get rid of some of the waste putting the hand against the guitars to dampen it, there's kind of a thump noise so wanted to try and get rid of some of that thumping noise from his playing. But still maintaining a sort of rich bodied sound. Just kind of cuts some of the really low so I'm gonna put the high pass filter up into let the noise disappears but without losing too much low end still got all the way out. Now just gonna listen to the, put the compressor threshold all the way out.
So the compressor quite lightweight sounding quite attacking now what I've done I've done a reasonably slow attack so the compresses not coming in on the first beat but on the second bit and a reasonably fast recovery so that I maintain a lot of dynamics was compressing the signal I'm still gonna maintain that kind of percussive dynamic as much as possible. Well I'm gonna stick that into a BCI gonna create some VC ISIS now going through PCI three I'm just gonna listen to that with the rest of the with the bass and the drums given such was natural So as you see I've leaned the faders fairly flat over here I've kind of given up a bit on this bass di is not really happy with I'm mixing the levels with the VCA. So this is a lot easier than trying to pull up and push down all those faders.
So I'm just using the three faders here to get my mix together. I'm constantly listening to the balance of things, some added a bit more snatch on to try and cut it through because it's kind of very much a rhythm orientated song and then it's time to move on to the next channel.
