Wendy had just been promoted to a supervisor position. Her work friend Angela began growing distant. She started being late for work and Wendy didn't know why. Wendy wondered if Angela was jealous or if she thought Wendy would change now that she was a manager. She also wondered if Angela might be going through a personal problem. Wendy wondered if she could still have a friendship with Angela outside of work.

She decided to invite Angela to join her for drinks after work one day and asked her why she was always late. Wendy valued her friendship with Angela but this promotion was also important to her. She resolved to work with Angela to help fix the disconnect.
