Gray spans the extremes between white and black. A neutral gray is obtained when all spectral wavelengths are absorbed more or less to the same degree. And neutral mid gray is said to be the most restful for the eyes. Gray is associated with the clouds and the shadows. However, it is primarily a color a man made environments, including massive mechanical and metallic objects. Gray is neither colored no dark, no lot.

It is entirely free from any stimuli or psychological tendencies. It is conservative, quiet and calm, but also tedious, passive and without life in the darker tones or a darker value.
