Analogues of colors are close to one another on the color wheel, for example, red, orange and yellow. Even when seen out of sequence, a group of such related colors seem to belong together. A series of adjacent hues that spans the primary hue, lime green, yellow, yellow orange, is naturally more discordant and needs more careful handling in a color scheme.
