Hey, welcome back. In this video, we're going to talk about text marketing. So did you know that there are more text messages sent every day than there are people on the planet? text message marketing is great for local businesses and for internet marketers. So pretty much anyone can use text marketing. We've all heard that the money is in the list.

Okay, if you've been through a good amount of internet marketing products, you've probably heard this. If not, you'll probably hear in the future. But text SMS lists can generate an even bigger response than email list for several reasons. People always have their phone on them nowadays. Okay, so cell phone users usually check their text messages immediately upon receiving them. You probably do as well.

I think the average email open rate is about 20%. I think cell phone text message reads are like above 90%. Okay, so your odds of getting in touch with that person for sure are so much higher with text messages. Then your traditional email. And then both text messages are not free like bulk email. But compared to other forms of communication, like direct mail, for instance, it's super affordable, super cheap, okay, so it's really a fantastic way to get your message to your customer quickly and cost effectively.

So there's currently two types of text messages that you can use to market your business you can use SMS which is simple messaging service, okay, just a normal text. And then you can use MMS which is multimedia messaging service, which is you know, your pictures multimedia texts, as well. Okay. Then mobile coupons sent via text are great for generating immediate sales. Okay, for example, imagine that a restaurant sends out a text to all of their subscribers saying you know, for the next hour, everything on the menu is 35% off. Now, imagine that insane number of customers that you could drive into your store, when everyone gets that text immediately around dinnertime.

So around Four to six. Okay, so it's all about sending your message out at the right time. We've seen a lot of businesses that have really slow days, a lot of restaurants that have slow Tuesdays, slow Wednesdays, you know, they use text marketing, they use text marketing combined with that GPS targeting. And they're actually able to capture traffic that's near their restaurant at that time, people that are probably looking around, driving around trying to figure out where to eat, they're able to bring those people in, they've been able to increase their sales by a good amount, and increase their traffic on their slow nights by offering happy hours and discounts and things like that, that they were always offering, but people just didn't know about it. Okay, so text message marketing can be great for that. It can be something you can do for other businesses, you know, promoting this type of stuff.

So as you can see, text message marketing can be pretty powerful when used correctly. Okay, so we've touched on text marketing, and the next video I'm going to talk to you about actual text marketing services that you can use in your business or That you can go and approach other businesses with and help them build up their customer base and increase their relationships with their customers using text marketing.
