Okay, welcome back. In this video, we're going to talk about location based marketing and your mobile marketing campaigns. So with location based marketing ads, you can literally set up an invisible fence around your local business, called the geo fence, where people will receive your ads if they come within your perimeter. So this can be very useful for restaurants who are trying to advertise to people that are maybe driving by their restaurant or near proximity. You could send shop alerts to customers that come within your geo fence using this website, it's place cast dotnet. And their technology can tie into customer databases so that you can tailor your messages to each customer that walks by.
So this service is more for bigger businesses with bigger budgets, and a lot of customers than for local small business owners. So maybe if you're looking to target local restaurants, maybe a small mom and pop that doesn't have a big budget would be interested in something like this. But if you can get in with maybe a corporate restaurant that has many different locations, This could be something that help you make a lot of money. Okay, so just to keep in mind, place cast dotnet very cool website and I'll put the link in the video. And then Foursquare, Facebook Places, etc. Make sure to sign up for as many of these services as possible.
If you own your own local business, or if you're doing text marketing or mobile marketing for any local businesses, make sure they're on Foursquare, Facebook Places, etc. So this may be even something that you can come in, and, you know, for free, you know, just offer to show them this one thing, you know, say this is one thing I'm going to show you that's going to change your business, if they're not already using this. And they're going to be like, wow, when they see the response they get, if they already have a good customer base, it's just going to be really good for increasing their customer relationships and driving new traffic to their business. So this could be one that you you give away and then kind of reel them in with the rest of your products and services. Or maybe this is just something you do.
For a business, or maybe this is just something you do as part of your service. So with Bluetooth marketing, you can blast the signal from your local business that are reached any phone within the area. So it's usually around 200 feet. Just keep in mind that spam may be an issue with this type of push marketing, because people don't have to sign up to your list for you to message them. So some people don't necessarily like getting messages that they're not expecting, especially through text because it's so new. But if you want to learn more about this, you can check out these videos for more info, and to purchase the necessary software that you would need.
It's called Blue magnet.com. Okay, it's blue magnet.com forward slash media. And I'll put the link under the video. And then@layer.com there's a layer app. It's one of the most used augmented reality apps in the world. Okay, you can use their layer vision technology to overlap digital information.
In the real world, okay, so back in the 90s domain investors reap huge profits by being the first people to do this, okay? And then stick to is an app that gives you the ability to add your own creative ideas to any picture of the real world. So then when someone else within the stick to App scans the same image, they'll see your version, okay? So it's very similar to layer. I think Google Goggles, okay, with this innovative technology. You can scan and search images using your Android device.
Okay, so I'm not sure how marketers or business owners could use this service to make money. But it's definitely cool and worth keeping an eye on. Okay, Google is working on facial recognition technology, as well. So I just wanted to throw that in there for for any of you that really like this kind of tech stuff. Okay. It's Google Goggles and it's at google.com forward slash mobile for slash goggles, forward slash pound text, and the next video we're going to talk about mobile games and how you can take advantage of one of the fastest growing segments of mobile marketing
