Fate has been kind to me. Fate did not make me famous too young. So I'm the same age as George Michael. And one day, when I was 18 years old, I had hoop earrings and both years and I was on the tube in London and we're all pressed up against each other. Everyone was knee braided. It was like, pumps just close and whatnot.
This guy is like, on to a dead bring up the George Michael. And so it's funny because you know he had at that time he was a multimillionaire and touring the world and doing all this stuff. And it's really interesting what happens to people who you know, as Acton said, power corrupts, and you get this taste of power. And you know, it just, it can undo you. And so when Ellington said fate has been constant me fate did not make me famous too young. He knew that, you know, look, look what happened to his peers.
Look what happened to Coltrane with heroin. Look what happened to Miles Davis, getting aids and all these things. And there's something about youth where you have this insatiable curiosity, and it could lead you down a dark road if you have too much power. So, you know, you have to understand that everybody has his or her own path, his or her own karma. And for people who are late bloomers like myself, you know, I've just loved this quote, because there's other people out there. And, you know, as I said, there's a lot of people who other people identify with, but those people are really suffering, right and so don't predict jack, what you think is happiness to someone else?
Just be concerned with your own healing trajectory and how you're making the world a better place. And, you know, you could be rewarded in myriad ways.
