So now that I'm done editing my pages, I'm going to go to the next menu, which is insert. And insert is where you actually start constructing everything that you're going to add to your website. Before we do that, there are some options up here to change this header. Okay, and you can see as I'm moving around and hovering, some different boxes are coming up. So the first one, if you hover up in this top left corner, you can add a logo. So if this is a school or a company and you want to add your school logo, you can click here, okay, and you can upload it from anywhere on your computer.

Or you can select right here for searchings. Maybe you're want to search for something, and you know, you can put a logo there, so you can search here and once you put it in, it will appear there. I'm going to leave a logo out for now. I'm going to click on my page title, and I'm going to call this site all about dogs. When you click on it, you see you have some options for alignment, you can actually make this title a link, or you can get rid of it altogether. And before when I was mentioning that you really don't have a lot of options for changing the font.

This is a title style, you have a few styles options. So if you want to make this a heading or smaller heading, maybe when you're down here, you have the same option. But this is a title. So I'm going to leave it as title. And I'm going to just click out when I'm done. You'll notice I'm done typing my title, but now it doesn't go away.

So you just have to click out of it to be able to go away or if you want to go back and edit it some more. Now before I mentioned not worrying about this background image in when you're clicking your style, because there's a couple of different things you can do. There's two options here but you have to hover so let's say I go out you'll see that that menu goes away when I go in you'll see that it comes back. So the first thing I'm going to do is header type. You have the option for this to be a large banner, a banner or title only So it defaults to banner. So if I click on large banner, you'll see that it gets larger.

If I click on cover will show you that it's even larger than that covering most of the page. If I go back to banner, I'll leave the smaller one. And now if you click on title, maybe you don't want a picture at all. So maybe on your homepage, you want pictures, but on yours some pages you don't. So you can click title only, and that's how it would look. I'm going to leave it on banner.

And as before, once we make a change, you kind of just have to click out for it to go away. And now I want a banner but I don't want this picture. I want something related to dogs. So I'm going to go to change image and you will get two options you can upload so anything that is saved on your computer or in your drive you can upload. So if I click here, it'll bring up my entire computer and I can find any images I want or I can search within the program. So if I click Select, you'll get this dialog box come up.

And there's a gallery here. But you can actually search, you can get things from your Google Drive right here, but I'm going to go to search. And I'm going to click dogs. So it'll bring up a lot of different images that you can choose from. One thing to remember is because the website itself is longer horizontally than vertical, if you pick a vertical picture, it's going to cut off some of the things so you want to look more like if I pick this picture, it's going to cut it off and have space on the side and it may not look visually appealing like you want it to, but you're better off picking a longer picture horizontally, so you can go through and see. So I'm going to try this one, click on it selected and it puts it there.

So even though you can see it cuts off a little bit, you don't have a whole lot of options for editing this picture. It's just really how Google Places it behind there. So that's how you would change your image in the background. If you don't like it, you can always go back and pick something different. Next video we're going to get into how we're adding all of these other items on the side.
