As a business coach, I work with many entrepreneur, businesspeople and brand owner. When we discuss about marketing, a lot of entrepreneur will have the first question asked, should I do my marketing online? Or offline? Should I run a Facebook ad? Or should I do a marketing brochure? How do I start my marketing campaign?

My humble suggestion is number one, you need to understand what is your primary objective when it comes to marketing, in marketing? The primary objective is you want to educate and communicate effectively to your target audience about your the benefit of your product, how your product can help your target audience, your customer software problem. And why should this group of people buy from you instead? Because in the marketplace, I believe that whatever you are selling and providing you are not alone. They are also many other competitor who are doing the same thing. So number one, you need to really, really understand why your customers should buy from you and how your product can benefit them.

In order to cast your marketing message mesh effectively, the first thing you need to do is to position yourself because you need to understand where do you stand in the marketplace. in marketing 101 The first thing you need to learn is do not market to everyone. Not everyone in the market will be your target audience because everyone will have different requirements and expectation. Therefore, you need to position yourself correctly before you craft your marketing message. Let me give you a very simple example. If you are running a fusion center, you are teaching Dushan lesson to primary school students Secondary School students, is your marketing message going to be the same for both of this group our target audience?

Likely not. Why? Because if you market to primary school students who will be your target audience is the student themselves. I will say no, because as a primary student, they do not have the authority to decide which two cents and they want to go very lightly we will be the parents, the mother who will make the decision for their children. The mother will have the final say I want my children to attend these delusions and so if you are running a distance and targeting primary student, your marketing message should craft to targeting the parents, particularly the mom. In contrast, if your tuition center is now targeting a secondary school student, now your marketing audience and message should change from parents To the teenager themselves, because as a 1516 year old teenager, they will now be the decision maker deciding which tuition center they want to go.

So, therefore, your marketing message is really crucial, depending Who are your target audience. So, I come back to the subject, do not market to everybody make sure very clearly Who are your target audience, follow this four step sequence of marketing. Number one, understand who are your target audience understand clearly the who second where to find this group of people that what marketing message you want to tell them?
