Here's another secret that I learned with working with some of the top YouTubers. When you see a video go up, all you see is the video and you assume add, they made this and they put it up and you never hear the backstory of what happened. That what went into making that video, the horror stories that this went wrong and that was wrong. You don't hear about any of that. And it looks so easy because you don't hear that stuff. But when I worked with the top YouTubers, what I learned from them is say some of them will spend 234 days making a video and they'll say you know what, throw it all away.
It wasn't good. We got to start over. This isn't good enough to put up and nobody knows that who watches the video. They don't know that we already filmed the whole thing and deleted it. I mean, it's kind of crazy when you think about it. But I think the idea is, nobody ever does their best work on their first try.
Go with me here for a second. Let's take a draw picture right you do your absolute best you draw the best picture you can and then you crumble up throw it away and you draw it a second time. I guarantee you when you draw it that second time it will be better than the first time you drew it no matter what it is. you're drawing who the artist is, the second time around is always better than the first same can be true usually for the third or fourth try now after a while, maybe you get to a point where you get creative burnout on that, and you have put out your best work and it's not worth doing it again. But I think if we're talking about the difference between 1000 views and 10 million views, maybe it is worth doing it a second or third time, maybe you made a really great thumbnail.
But Heck, do it again a second time and just see if you can make it a little better. Maybe you spend three or four more hours on it, but maybe you make a thumbnail that's so bad. Maybe by doing it a second time you thought of something you didn't think of the first time and you make a really amazing thumbnail. These are the tips that no one else is going to tell you. And this is the kind of stuff that I learned from these top YouTubers. And this is why they are where they are.
Because they're they don't care how much work it went into how much money they spent, or energy, all they care about is I gotta put the best darn thumbnail possible on this video. And when the people who go to click on it, they don't care either. They also want just the best thumbnail and that's our goal. You got to do whatever it takes, you know, however much money or energy is relevant to all that care about us putting our best out there.
