Hey guys, I know it's been a while since I've checked in on this course and added any new content. It's actually been like about a year now. And I wanted to add another chapter here and say a few things since I've learned since I posted this course. First and foremost, for those of you who have made it to this final chapter, stop what you're doing right now, and I want you to email me, and let me know that you made it to the very end. In exchange for doing this, I'm going to give you guys a bonus free piece of advice that I'm only going to give for those of you that have made it all the way through the course and who email me. The reason I want to do this is it's a good way for me to keep track of those of you who have made it all the way to the end.
And I would love to check out your channels and give you like some some some personal one on one feedback as well. So So again, you can email me at info at fuzzy puppet calm. So go ahead and send me an email right now where you can start the content direct me directly to my channel also if you'd like. So what I learned since I posted this course, quite a few things. I have a friend right now that I'm coaching who's doing a channel. And one thing that he's doing one thing really well, which is something he and I have been discussing, which I'm doing on my channel right now as well, which is when I first started fuzzy puppet, each video is so drastically different from the next, I would have to like build a whole different set each time.
And if you watch any major television show, you'll see that they reuse like the main few set pieces over and over again, which makes production on a weekly basis much easier. So I've been kind of fine tuning my show in the same regard. Now there's a couple of sets that I just reuse pretty much every episode we have the fuzzies bedroom set, which I'm in right now. I have an outdoor set, a set of fuzzies Homeworld and a video game playing Set. And those four sets never change, I reuse them over and over again. And maybe here and there, I'm going to also introduce a couple of other set pieces.
But those four main sets that I use the most are never changing. This makes production much faster and much easier. Now, having said that, I saw his channel, he just started it. And we're both kind of curious to see what would happen if you if you kind of just post a bunch of content consistently, you know, well produced yada, yada yada up on YouTube, like how does that fare we're kind of used to bring out kind of subscribers. And and again, we were both reminded of what I've said earlier in this course, which is you really do need a viral video, when you start a channel, you need at least one hit one video that just soars and gets millions of views and sends traffic to all your other Talia other videos, and he hasn't achieved that yet. So his channels kind of staggering even though his content is decent, and so on and Fourth, we're both just reminded that you really do need a viral video.
So let me reiterate this again. When you when you first start your channel, you want to really come out swinging and put your best foot forward and make a video that really anyone who sees it, whether it's a grandma, a six year old, a mom and dad, a teen, whoever sees it, sees it and says, Wow, I got to tell people about this video. This is crazy. This is awesome. I got to post this on Facebook, I got texted to my friends. How often do you really find yourself texting a video that you've made to a friend?
Or posted on Facebook? I do it maybe once a month? Do I really see something? I'm like, Wow, this is awesome. I gotta tell some people about this. And that and you want your initial videos to really strive to be that type of video that people are going to pass around.
And it makes perfect sense if you think about it, because if people pass it around, that's the essence of a video going viral. You know, you want to make something whenever that something's going to be that's going to get passed around. Once you've got the ball rolling and people are passing your channel around and looking at it and just consistently growing, then you can kind of scale back production and do what I'm saying of like reusing sets over and over and things of that nature. What else was I gonna say? Yeah, so another thing to the the consistency of uploads. See this, this fellow right here, this winch pillow.
I got that recently because I've really been again, just refining my process down to like, anywhere that I can make it easier on myself to film videos and this wedge pillow like when I'm doing the fuzzy while we're doing the puppetry. Man It really hurts your back and your neck. So I got that pillow to just it's like the perfect shape to just crank you up just a little bit. And I've been doing that literally like from start to finish my entire process of filming the show like anything involved with that I'm writing down like where can I make it easier on myself faster on myself like just to get more videos up because the next time What I wanted to really drive home again with you guys is the consistency of uploads. You have to just as long as you're putting something up consistently and the quality is pretty good and it's entertaining, it doesn't have to be a masterpiece.
Once your channel gets going, what's more important is that you're just consistently uploading. I watch a lot of Mark Dice. If you're not subscribed to his YouTube channel, check it out. Sure, probably a lot of you have heard of it. But the thing about Mark Dice is he uploads every single day, every day am Exactly. I'm not talking about five days a week, I'm talking about seven days a week, since I've started watching this channel.
I think only twice has he not uploaded we're talking two months, if just everyday boom 8am he's uploading. So it's really important that you guys consistently upload, this is what's gonna build your channel more than anything else. I put up little reminders around my studio 8am upload, boom, everywhere I look. It's just a constant reminder. To upload every day, and if you upload at the same time every day even better, if you watch this channel, you'll see like, here's an idea when whenever he posts like I try to make a comment to try to drive some traffic to my channel. I have the verified checkmark next to my fuzzy puppy name.
And if I leave an interesting comment, sometimes it gets uploaded as the highest rated comments on people's videos, and then it's a little extra way to get channeled traffic to my channel. So I go to mark dices channel right here it is like 7:59am I already got my comment written, ready to go. All I got to do is copy and paste it in. So boom, his video goes up, I instantly click on it, I scroll down to the comments section, I paste it in, I hit comment, boom, refresh the page. I'm already LIKE, COMMENT number 100. That's how many people have like comments like and who are waiting for his videos to go up.
This is how you build an audience every day, same upload time and the earlier the better. So I'm going to I'm going to keep adding some more updates. In this course for you guys and the more I learned, the more I'm going to keep passing on with you but I have a couple of other like I said really good interesting tips I just came up with that I've tested and that are working very well. And I'm going to pass those on for free to anyone who reaches out and emails me and prove to me that you've you've taken my course and you've made it all the way to this final chapter. So just let me know also, again, send me a link to your channel. I'd love to check it out and give you some one on one feedback.
Alright guys, I'll see you in the next update. Bye.
