Hello, welcome to today's tutorial This is a continuation of the previous session which is modeling right I hope you will practice whatever we discussed in the previous session okay and today we will discuss about something very important it's called the primitives okay? primitives are nothing but it's a primary entities. So, these are primary entities do not have a sketch. So if you remember we discussed in the previous session about block cylinder cone and the sphere, right. So, in case like we want to create any of these without a sketch, then these are the four ones. Okay, so, a monkey interview they might ask you as to how many primitives are there next, so your answer will be four.

Okay, in case you're not able to find them here, you would have had them here, okay. Menu insert design feature. And under that you have like four options block cylinder cone sphere. Also any options which are missing here, most of them would be under these options. Okay, interruption. Okay, so now let's get started.

So let me click on More and I have this block. So let's start off. So most in most cases you will be using this the origin and excellence. Okay? So I'm just going to show you that and it's asked for the origin point. So let's assume the origin point is your return okay?

And the length z is nothing but this direction, okay? The y z is nothing but this direction and that c is nothing but the height. So, as you're aware, to create a block or a rectangular block, you need only three dimensions, which is the length, breadth and the height. Okay? So what we'll do is I'm just going to have only keyed in the values here, okay? And I just click on Apply this fit that is controller.

Okay. And now I have my object Okay, and and let's say if I needed to be offset a little, probably then I just need to change the origin. Okay, so it says origin instance right? So just click on the point dialog here. Okay, and I can click on WCS are the absolute worst part to do, okay, so let's say my x x is like 50 You shouldn't you should see the point moving here If not, it would be a waste of time so you see the point moving. Okay?

So and this one I'm delivered as 50 and this one I'm going to do is hundred okay? So let's click on okay. All right, just given fit. Okay so with respect to the Xeroxes, it's taken practice click on FAQ. Notice this distance and with respect to the x axis, you would notice the distance and respect to the y axis as well, you would notice the distance. Okay?

So this is how you create a block without a sketch. Okay? And let's say I want to create a cylinder. Alright, so let me just hide this for now. Okay? So I can just show you the cylinder.

So what do you need for a cell? You need a duck origin you need a Dyer and you need the lead, right? So if that's what it says axis diameter and the height, okay, so let's say I select this is my vector, or the axis of rotation, I can add these selectors or this, okay? And the point let's select this point, okay? And let's select my diameter is 30. And the height is hundred.

Okay, so, I have my cylinder here. So in case I need to offset it, yes, as you guessed, right, so you just need to come here and you just need to give the distance here. Okay. So let's say I wanted to, alright. And I click on show result. So here we go.

Okay, so we have a block, we have a cylinder, and the next feature would be cool. Okay, so let me just hide this for now. So what do you need for the cone again, it's similar to a cylinder, okay? It will ask you to do vector tossing the point, the base diameter and the top diameter because basically it's a kind of a table, right? So, so these diameters as good as, let's say 50, and that would be the top diameter. You could just give it a zero.

Okay, that's fine. And the height, I'll just leave it as 25 can just make a little bigger Okay, so here we have a cone. And in case, let's say the top diameter. So let's say my top diameters and so we still have a Konya. Okay. So in this way we can do it.

And again if you need to position the origin, you can always click on this point dialog okay. And again you have diameters in high damage in half angle, the base term meter height and half angle top and the height and half angle okay? So when you just click on it lastly for the respective values and when you clean those values, you would have your result okay. So let me just hide this now. And the next one is to have your sphere. So for the sphere, what do we need?

We just need the diameter and the origin, the origins only selected Okay, which is the base in cases selector, you can always come here and pick it up. And let's see the diameter is like 50. And so here we have a sphere, okay? And if I need to change origin, then I can just get some random place here, or I can just get the point here. Okay? And I would have missed you.

Okay? And, let's say. So I really, we covered all our four primitives, right? blocked cylinder coordinates, do anything, notice, none of these have sketches. Right? So that's what you need to make note of, okay?

Because, like I said, it's very important that you remember this, okay? Especially for your interviewer. Eric, and then we have the route feature. Okay, so let's let me just show you the route feature. Let me just try to create a particular block here. Oh, let me just create here, okay.

Okay. Now what I'm going to do is let me just hide the things. Okay. The sketches were a sketch. So I'm just going to draw a curve here. Okay.

So let me just take a line, and let's use this particular plane. So if you notice about sketching well, so you don't have to sometimes, if it's a complicated sketch, yes, you'd have to go inside the sketch and do it. But if in most cases, if you want to create something, you just click on the particular curves feature, and you just select the plane normally take you there and the feature would start off, okay. So, let me just show you the old school method. So and let me just try to draw curve here, okay, it's alright even if it stretches out a little Okay, so now if you notice, we have this particular sketch on this particular plane, but however, it needs to lie on this particular body. Okay?

So I've actually united this, okay? So to for it to be completed only needs to be united and also, so to make to make this particular move here, so there are different ways of doing it. Okay, so now let me just try this method. So I'm going to have the datum here, I'm just going to create a datum plane. And this is a very useful tool in case most of the times when you're working on models are something that you miss out on, you have an ad or something. So you can use this.

So I'm just going to click on datum plane. So I'm going to discuss about this feature completely in the next session. Okay. So as of now, you can just use this. So the first one and the second one. So you have a bisector plane just created, get created in the middle, okay?

And then what I'm going to do is So this particular curve, right, so I'm just going to click on this curve. Alright, just double click on this. So you will see an option called as reattach the read reattach. So what we're going to do is reattach it to a different plane, okay? So click on reattach. And by default this entire all the sketch from this particular plane selected, okay?

And it's asking you to select the plane. So we'll see if it's going to take this, okay, I'm just gonna click here and click on OK. All right, and I'm just going to click on Finish. So if you notice, it did not take it, right. So the reason is because this particular plane is created after the sketch. But for a sketch to be created a plane needs to always be preliminary, right? So what I'm going to do is I'm just going to move this here is just reordering and in case reordering fields, you would get an arrow like this, okay.

So now with Is it become out of date and due to the Edit? Okay, so I'm just gonna double click on it. I'm going to click on reattach now. And the plane that I need is this, right? So I'm just going to click on OK, you would notice the difference now. So, do you see that what we showed that I had here on this particular plane?

I got a good move to this particular plane. Okay? So this is a very useful tool. All right. So most of the times when you miss out on anything in the modeling, alright, so we now have a clue as needed for the feature, click on group and the body's already selected ready for this, select the courier in cases difficult to pick up something can always come here, select the sketch, okay. And so the section plane is this right?

So this particular thing needs to be parallel to the section plane, right? Because we're moving, this is a plane and we're going back to this okay. So this is your okay to do the thickness. If it's most of the cases, we give it a symmetric itself for the feature, okay? But if you want in a symmetric one, yes, you can move it in a single direction and you can, or you can reverse the direction. Okay?

So I'm just going to leave it in symmetric for now. Okay? Because my thickness that I need is 10. Let's get on shoulders and it says cannot properly kept open smart profile. Okay, so let's see why it is. Okay.

So let me just do one thing. I'll just try to select from list. The point on constraint, I'm just going to delete it. Okay. I'm just going to drag it a little inside. And the same I'm going to do here as well.

Point on constraint. And I'm going to delete it. And then I'm just going to drag this over Okay, now let me just give it at a distance, so it's easier that way. So click on distance with respect to this thing. So let's say the distance I have. And let me see the distance from your tissue.

This is 30. Okay, and now let's try the route. So body selected, I'm going to select the code. I'm going to select parallel to the section plane. I'm just going to symmetric I'm just couldn't get to him and here we go. Okay, so in case I want to increase the thickness, so what I'm going to do is I'm just going to use this.

Alright, so here we have a feature, okay? These are usually like stiffness for supporting. Okay? And the next feature that we're going to see today is hole. Okay? So I'm just going to hide the sketch I'm going to hide the plane.

Alright. And let me just show you the whole option. So what is the hole? hole is a material removal operation, right? So, let's say there are different kinds of holes here, okay, so the most one that we will be using is the general hole itself. Okay, and it says, sketch a point.

So you can either click on sketch and create a point, and then you can select a point, okay, if not, I've not done it, you can just click on a specific point, just select the plane where or the phase where you want to create the point Let's say I want to hold you, right? So I just select this particular face, and that particular face would open up to me, okay? So I just need to position this or basically dimension this. So click on D and dimension this particular point to how many are dimensions that's the point to right. So I'm just going to give this value so 40 good horizontal distance. Now my default it to take.

So you see children. So this particular hole is small dimension, that's why it's not showing. So let me just give a larger value. Okay. So And the depth just give it us so you can either do a value or you can just get through okay? So like there's an option called through body okay.

So to take for the entire thing all right and also if you want like okay the other options are in distally Okay. So for now just focus on the value okay. So define okay. So let me just put it in most categories will be able to see it okay. So here we have a hole which is created alright and the other options in who was to see. So, you have something called as general rule and your general rule you have different form and dimensions.

So, for a simple goal this diameter and depth The angle you do and also in the depth of the class to do you want it until the cylinder bottom of the cone, it's understandable seeing the representation what it exactly means, okay? And what I'm going to do is I'm just going to select a different form of, let's say accountable. Okay? So I'm just going to okay let me just select this particular face again, okay. Close and then the point is only pleased here, right? So I'm just going to driving you can specify a dimension as a requirement, okay?

And so is asked to the vector, okay, so back to the point is already selected so the vector would be Z axis obviously. And in case you're not able to see it, you can just select it from here itself, the z axis, alright? And our direction needs to be towards the bottom side. Okay? So ensure that is being selected, you'll be able to see that direction here because it's showing up upper segment. So it needs to be on the bottom Okay.

And then I would need to give a comfortable diameter okay. So let's say I gave them a countable diameter of seven and then I give this to and the inside diameter, let me just give us three and the step. So this whole yet it says that must be greater than countable draught okay? So just keep this as 10 or you can just give the depth limit as to boy, okay? So, the option obviously would be subtract because holders and material to move feature okay. So here we have it on static wireframe.

And you will be able to see this particular counterpart. Okay? The same goes with the counter sunk as well. Okay? So I can select counter song, okay? And then I can just get, let me just redo it on the same hole.

So it used to be completely outside so I'll just give it to us and then under some angle, let's say 70 degrees. And let's see, a diameter here is five and if you see it's actually taking it up so it needs to be in reverse direction. Okay. So let me just show you on the shaded with edges. So those are countersunk and comfortable. Okay, and similar thing goes With the tapering as well, okay?

So for the people, let's say let me use this particular one, so I'm just going to pick this point and the diameter, select say, a six and taper angle, a standard degree. So it says that go the direction selected was upper. Okay, so I'm just going to reverse this direction, you wouldn't be able to see that in the preview. Okay. And now let me just put it in static work anymore. So you will be able to see this now.

Okay, this particular taper feature. I'm sure this modeling session will be really helpful for you and an eye opener to most of the features Those are the main features right? We almost covered the main features okay. And in the subsequent sessions we would go on word interpretation of the CAD models, okay. And the drawings. So as in when we come across a new command, we will discuss it.

Okay. And that's it for today. Do practice. Okay. Thank you.
