Hi, this is Sarah Skye with business English for professionals. Welcome to your first assignment. This one is about resources. So let's take a look at what you have to do. For your first assignment regarding resources and media, you want to bookmark all of your resource and media websites, we'll take a look at what those websites are. Again, you can download them from this platform, or you can find them on the website which is here down below www dot business hyphen English hyphen for professionals.com.

So when you do that, make sure that you are accessing all of the websites that are useful to you that you are familiar with them. So take a look at them. Make sure you understand how they work. You also want to download and install your resources and media apps. So you have these on your phone and you can access them quickly. Again, take some time make sure you're familiar with them and how they work.

Beyond that, you can sign up to newsletters if you'd like to receive emails and information by Mail. So this is a good way to get articles directly into your in mailbox. You can also follow like connect excetera podcasts, or social media groups and pages so that you are getting quality information in your news feeds on a daily basis. Beyond that, you can order any of your print books or publications. So if you want to order the grammar, English book, do that, or any other publications such as The Economist, etc, get those ordered, so you're ready to go. Let me know if there's anything and how you're doing.

And that's important feedback as well. And there will be additional resources and information on the website. So let's take a quick look again at what those language resources are. I'm going to make sure that this is available to you in a PDF format with links and that all of the links are available on the website, as I mentioned. So we've got these great apps and websites. These are useful on a daily basis word reference, Google Translate dictionary.com for Sarah calm acronym finder, urban dictionary and Google search, we looked at Google Chrome as well.

If you aren't using the Google Chrome browser, that's a really good idea, because it does instant translations of four pages. So that's a nice tool, and I'll make sure that you have that information as well. So beyond that, your media platforms for video, our Ted, Ted is number one, I highly recommend you downloading the app bookmarking the website and referencing that for your video information, great platform, you've got the transcripts available, you've got subtitles in any language, etc. Great tool. Other than that, we also have the media platforms for social media pages. Now, I'm pretty sure that you've got this information already.

But just in case I'm going to have this available for you to download and also the links on the website. Facebook is great, Twitter's great. LinkedIn is all great. Those are good. platforms for articles and video. So I recommend those in particular, but of course any of these would work for you.

And there are lots more these are the top 16. From I think from 2018. So great media platforms if you are interested in following information in English on TV. These are the best digital platforms because they have subtitles available and you can watch any of the TV shows or TV series documentaries in multiple languages, including English of course. So these are great resources. Netflix is wonderful amazon video is really good sky is quite good.

Most of them give you a trial period too. If you want to just try them out for a month or so. I will have links available on the website. And then beyond that we have the textbook. This is a wonderful resource. Lots of additional exercises in practice and great grammar, structure and breakdown again For quick reference, I will put a link on the website again, here's the link right here to the website where you can purchase that book if you are interested.
