Character-based leadership is needed to address today's leadership crisis.  One’s character is foundational to leadership.  This course addresses the foundation of character as a critical leadership characteristic for current and future leaders. Leading by transforming from within and encouraging others to transform from within to become better leaders is at the core of character-based leadership. This course aims to discover one’s leadership values, beliefs, and principles as a foundation of character-based leadership as well as explore the leader’s interpersonal communication styles to effectively lead in today’s current and future environment.

At the completion of this session, students will be able to:
•    Define character-based leadership
•    Identify traits of character-based leadership
•    Describe the impact of a leader’s character on organizational culture
•    Develop as a character-based leader
•    Recognize character-based leader’s interpersonal communication style
•    Understand the character leader’s interpersonal leadership communication styles
