Sometimes you want to skip a specific value, and we want to normally continue looping through the array. So for example, we have an array of employees. And we just want to skip a specific value. And we want to normally continue. So for example, we are going to create a loop and we are going to loop through it, we start by getting john and then Bob and then Alice, but we want to skip over David. So once we get that value, we don't we are not interested in that value, we just skip over it.

And we move on to the next value. So once we get to Alice, and we create the the next iteration, and we make an if statement and we check if the value equals David If yes, we are going to ignore this value and move on to the next value which is k In Brown, and then Jessica, and so on and so forth. But how are we going to implement that there are three steps that we need to follow. The first one is to normally create a loop loop through the complete array. The second step is check the value. If the value equals David, then if it equals to your value, which is David, we need to ignore it, just ignore it and move on to the next value.

So let's convert that into code. So here we have an array of employees. And we just want to create a simple loop and check if it equals today with an if it equals to David, we are going to ignore him. So first of all, we create an array as you can see here, loop through the array, so I'm going to create an array and inside that just let i equals to zero and then the condition which is I is smaller than employees dot length and then i plus plus And this is a normal loop a simple loop. And the second step is that we need to check if it equals if the value that we are looping through the array value that we are looping, looping through, equals to David. So I'm going to use if statement.

And then I'm going to add employees, and then square brackets and then I if that value equals to David, we need to ignore it, or skip over it, how are we going to ignore it or skip over it? It's so simple. All you need to do is just type continue, continue. And that's it. Just this this keyword is going to skip over the value here in the if statement condition. And it's just simple it's gonna just ignore it and skip over it and continue and continue doing our looping through the loop.

And here outside of this if statement, I am going to To print out values, so here console dot log, and then inside here, I'm going to use employees. And then I, and what this is going to do is just going to print out all values, except David. Let's now save and run. As you can see, we get Bob, john, Bob Alice. And then David has been ignored. As you can see, because we have used the continue once once the value of employees of i equals David, we are going to use continue, which is going to ignore it and move on to the next iteration, which is Kate and then Brown, and then Jessica, as you can see Kate brown and Jessica.

So this is how you can just ignore a value from an array and move on and do and move on and continue looping through the array doing whatever you want and ignoring a specific value or values.
