Boxes, boxes boxes. There are so many free boxes available to you as a seller. I thought I'd show you an assortment of them. Here's a large flat rate box, also known as a board game box. For me it conveniently holds 50 dead tennis balls. Flat Rate boxes can be shipped anywhere in the USA for one price.
It works well for heavier items rather than using regular priority mail. If it fits, you can ship up to 70 pounds. large heavy books would be just perfect to ship in this large box. Next up is the flat rate envelope. Good for documents or magazines. Best for flat objects.
It will ship anywhere in the US for one flat rate. If you need a little more protection, here's the flat rate padded envelope. This is one of my all time favorite shipping methods. One flat rate, which makes it easy to know in advance what it'll cost you. You can save money if what goes inside is over one pound. This is a nice smaller sized box seven by seven by six.
It could do a coffee mug, but you can do a coffee mug in the flat rate padded envelope, which I'll show you later. But for anything small, I like this next box. It's six by four by four. It's eBay branded and is brown. So it does not have to go via priority mail. It can go first class under 16 ounces within the eBay shipping system.
It's free if you buy it with your eBay store quarterly coupon. I also like to reuse boxes. Here's a great one for a large book from that other big internet company. My friends save all these boxes for me so they're also free. Another thing that can be reused are these airbags from that other company as well. There are two boxes that you can get from the post office that looks similar, but they have different purposes.
Here's a medium flat rate box almost the same dimensions as this priority mailbox, which just says mailing box on it. Be careful to read what's written on the box before using or you might be paying a lot more for the boxes. Another convenient shaped box is this one called a shoe box. It will fit a standard shoe box in it, though it'll end up weighing about two pounds, maybe three pounds depending on the shoes, so it should be used for a zip code closer to you. Here's another medium flat rate box different shaped. It could hold about 30 or so regular size magazines and ship for one flat rate.
