When we think of those people who embody executive presence, invariably we identify them as strong communicators. A strong communicator has a vision in mind, and then conveys a message that reinforces and influences those listening to act. And in this course, we're going to focus on building your executive communication skills. One of the six traits of executive presence for financial professionals communication skills, or the lack thereof is one of the most commonly cited criticisms of those of us in the finance discipline. Let's face it, the information we need to communicate comes with unique challenges. Its volume, this is highly technical, and to some listeners, finance and accounting, but let's face it, it may not be the most interesting of topics.

So to become a successful financial executive, you need strategies and tactics to address each one of these challenges. Now, let me give you a preview of what we've got in this course. In the first lesson, we're going to talk about ethos, pathos, and logos. In other words, The elements of persuasive communications. In our next lesson, we're going to learn how to build rapport with your audience, and more importantly, keep their attention. Our third lesson, you're going to learn about the art of storytelling.
