Thinking about doing something and doing it is not the same thing— go for it.
After my surgery, I never thought that I would go whale watching again. One day, my daughter and I decided to go, knowing it would be difficult for me to move around on a boat. I knew I would not be able to run around the vessel to get the best photos, so, focusing on what I could change, I boarded the boat, sat down, and planned to stay put for the duration. The most important resources I used that day were my passion for the sea and the support and love of my children. I took pictures from my seated position, thus modifying my goals. At one point, we were surrounded by hundreds of common dolphins, and I took this photo. By trying something new and difficult, I convinced myself that I could still follow my passion.
