This video, we're going to go over the confidence process because ultimately, confidence is a process that you do. And it's something that you can easily learn to utilize in your everyday life. So let me go ahead and walk you through how this confidence process works. So confidence is simply a process that you do inside your mind. It's simply something that you go through as far as your past experience, things that you've done in the past that have got you to become confident in a certain area. Right?

The same goes for emotion, be it fear, sadness, depression, or anxiety. None of these are actual things. They're simply a result of a process, a sequence of thought patterns, right that you run in your mind. And it's simply whenever you see something that reminds you of fear, you know, maybe you are afraid of the dark and so you run this process in your mind, that says okay, anytime that I am in a dark area or they see darkness, I automatically run a process in my mind that says, I'm afraid of that it's time to be afraid it's time to experience fear, right? And so up until now, you may not even have been aware that you were running this process in your mind, right? And the vital thing to realize is that you have complete control over these processes.

You can choose whether or not to experience a certain emotion, based off of certain triggers right in in this course, you're going to learn the mental processes that are going to allow you to interrupt and stop negative trains of thought, dead in the tracks, right? And a great place to start interrupting and stopping these types of negative thought processes is to consider and evaluate the type of language that you're using to describe them. That's really important, right? So let's say that you have a fear of public speaking. How do you do describe this to yourself because remember, it's about a behavior. It's about what you do and not who you are.

So if you say I have a fear of public speaking, or I have a fear of speaking in public, so you aren't in a sense taking possession of something that is simply just a mental process. What if you were to instead describe it as far as what's really happening and say, when I think about a certain context, I run a process in my mind, which I have labeled as fear, right? Just like with being afraid of the dark, right, you have labeled that particular process that tells you Okay, whenever I see the dark, or whenever I'm in the dark, I have labeled that process in my mind as fear, right. So how much better Would you be able to feel knowing that what you previously described as having a fear right of the darkness, of the dark right of fear of the public speaking is simply just a process that you ran in your mind.

Think about how much more power that's going to give you, and how much more resourceful you're going to become because you understand that this is simply just a process that I run in my mind, which gives me this feeling of sadness, depression, anxiety, because I am running this particular process in my mind. And one of the biggest things here that I want you to come away with is the language that you use to describe what you're feeling impacts that particular feeling tremendously. And it's your knowledge or awareness of these processes that give you power over them. So once you become aware that they're there, right in there running automatically, that's how you can control them and stop them dead in the tracks. So just like when somebody says, I'm depressed, what they've done here is they've built that notion into their very being. It's not that they are always depressed because nobody can always be depressed right?

Nobody can always be shy. Because somebody who is depressed all the time is never not depressed. And when you ask somebody, Hey, are you depressed all the time? And when you really think about it, and when they really think about it, there is no way possible that they can be depressed every single moment every single second of every day, right? So instead of saying that you are feeling depressed or you are depressed, consider saying something like this, okay? When I am feeling a certain way, I run a process through my mind that causes me to experience certain pictures, sounds and feelings inside of my head, inside of my mind, right that I have collectively labeled as depression.

The same goes for anxiety. When you sit there and you think about maybe your future or a job that you want to get that you want to go in and interview for. That may be a little bit out of your comfort zone, right and you feel That you truly want this job? Well, you're going to experience anxiety by creating certain pictures, sounds and feelings inside of your mind. When you think about that particular job in a certain way, right, you're thinking about it in a negative manner. And so instead of having negative pictures, right negative thought processes, running through your mind, of certain picture sounds and feelings inside your head.

When you think about that job, think about how positive that can be. Think about it in a different limelight. Think about it in certain pictures that have positivity surrounding them, certain sounds that are positive, different feelings of positivity inside that you're going to be feeling right when you think about that job. So it's really about understanding it's a label that you have placed and it's really a process that you have put inside your mind and that you are saying, You know what, I have taken ownership of this particular feeling of these pictures inside my mind. And I'm only experiencing feeling and seeing this because I have a negative outlook on this right? But if I change that, and I understand that I don't have a fear of public speaking, I'm just running this process inside of my mind.

And it's given me this feeling of uneasiness, of anxiety of depression, because I'm not able to process it correctly, right? But now you know, that whenever you have a thought process, or a thought pattern, or maybe you're talking to yourself in your saying, You know what, I have this fear, you can really begin to thoroughly analyze that statement that you're saying that's causing you to feel this negativity, right and really understand that you know what, it's not really that I'm experiencing fear because of this is because I have attached these pictures, these sounds these feelings to this particular area right to this particular subject. So really think about how it is that you are describing things, right the language that you're using to make sure that if you're describing things in a certain way that you can become aware and immediately change that. Now think about how you've been describing other negative emotions.

Have you been saying things like, I get nervous when I talk to strangers, I just feel depressed. describe what's really going on inside your mind. Whenever you hear those things. Whenever you have that negative self talk, think about what's really going on here. Because what's really going on here is you're saying, I choose to think in a certain way, that results in me feeling sad or depressed when I encounter a certain set of circumstances. That's it.

You're just running a simple process right? Now after taking control of these processes, put in a good emotion in place of the negative emotion. I have absolute confidence in public speaking try that out, okay. Because even If you don't truly believe it at first because you still have that negative connotation connected to it, right? If you begin to say that and you begin to experience an emotion behind it, you're going to automatically change how you feel. Okay?

So if you catch yourself from these negative processes, interrupted, right, interrupt it inside of your mind and say, Hey, you know what? No, wait a minute. This is not how I'm feeling. This is not a good feeling here. I don't like this, right? And then make a sound inside your mind to have a trigger point or a trigger to automatically stop that process, right?

Because you are a resourceful individual. So as you go through your day, become aware of what you're seeing, hearing and thinking inside your mind. So that you realize that you have control because you have thoughts that are coming in, right? And they're always going on in the background, but you have the ability to choose whether or not you believe them, you give into them, right. So remember, by being able to change your physiology, you can change that into you feeling good by striking a confident pose by putting your chest out, putting your hands over your head, like a victorious type of pose, right? And once you begin to change your internal pictures that you have around a certain subject, right, maybe you see yourself going out on stage and just killing a public speech, right versus you going and seeing yourself tripping and tripping over your words, right?

Because those are the pictures that you're seeing. If you have fear of public speaking, you have this fear, and these pictures of you know, people criticizing you, and you messing up versus if you change that, and you change those internal pictures to successes, right, your internal voice, then that will change how you feel about that situation. And so here's a powerful technique that I want to share with you. So when you notice a negative train of thought going on in your mind, okay, immediately stop it and save yourself. I do not accept that thought is valid. And you can also verbalize this.

But notice how you feel when you do this. Because what you're doing there is you're taking control of your mind, okay? You're taking control of what you're accepting and what you're not accepting, okay? And when that negative train of thought happens, and you get these pictures in your mind of you failing, of you not succeeding, of you being criticized and what people would think of you and all this stuff, right, immediately stop and say to yourself, I do not accept those thoughts as valid, or those feelings as valid. And you'll begin to realize just how much better you feel and that you are in control of how you feel and what you think. Okay?

So congratulate yourself when you stop these negative processes in praise yourself, because once you start this confidence process, you're going to get more of what you reinforce. Remember, this is just like any other type of activity that you have to practice. This app and get better app, once you start becoming more aware of your thoughts that don't serve you, you're able to say these things verbally, right and then in your mind, so that you can stop your mind dead in his tracks from continuing these negative thoughts, right, and then replace them automatically with positive ones. Now one of the most important things when it comes to becoming the competent individual that you want to become, to, you know, actually following the competence process and understanding that it is a process right is going to be through releasing the past, this is really, really important here to understand because if you're not able to release the past, then you're going to have a hard time getting self confidence, increasing that right, and then also becoming the better version of yourself.

So let's go right ahead and jump into this here. So take a moment and think about how you were in the past. Have you always been somebody who, who is shy, who cares what other people think? That you weren't competent in how you want it to be right? Think about that for a moment and understand that it is the past, right? You are moving forward, you're moving towards a better future.

So that past has nothing to do with you. Because there's nothing that we can do about it right now, the best thing that we can do is learn from it and behave differently in the future. And you're going to be able to do that through this course. And through the different techniques and strategies that I'm going to share with you. You must be able to forgive yourself for being shy or for not being confident in the past because remember, who you were in the past isn't going to dictate who you are now, right? So don't waste time and energy feeling bad about yourself for timing opportunities that you've lost as a consequence of being shy right of not being confident again, it's all in the past.

So once you will be able to release all of those feelings of negativity, frustration, anything that you may have, as far as negative feelings towards you. You being shy in the past, right? You need to be able to release all of those feelings and emotions because again, it's in the past, we're going to be able to learn from it and then be able to move on to becoming more confident in ourselves in our abilities, and living more fulfilling lives. So, that's gonna be here for this video, and we'll see you on the next one. Thanks
