So in this particular video, I'm going to share with you a very powerful technique that you're going to be able to utilize so that you can create your own mental gatekeeper. So let's go right ahead and jump into this. So just think about a situation that you're not 100% comfortable with. So think about, you're going in for a interview, okay? And you know that you've prepared for it, but you're not 100% confidence, right? So, typically, what ends up happening is when you begin to think about this situation, and you know that you're not 100% confident, your mind begins to have this audio and videotape running in the back of your mind, right, and it's typically looping.
And it's typically fear in doubt expressed in thoughts or feelings right. Now, as I mentioned previously, with the interview, let's say that you are indeed going in for the interview. And in your mind, you're playing this successful outcome all the way through of you getting that job if you signing that offer letter, and you're hired, and you're ready. Ready to go right? Now what I want you to do is I want you to freeze that frame right before you're about to engage with the interviewer right. And if you were to click on yourself, right, and pause it, and then click on yourself there as a character, you would notice that on default, you have doubts and fears, plain and an audio.
And this is even, you know, right before you're about to engage in conversation, you have these thoughts, these negative feelings going on in the back of your mind, right automatically. And it's saying things such as, don't mess up. What if you're not good enough? I hope I do a good job. I hope I get this job, right. And so that's happening in the back of your mind, and then you're actually thinking over it, right?
So you're nobody seeing that it's happening. And so that tends to translate into unsureness fear and doubts right. Now, whenever you encounter a situation like this, stop and freeze the frame in your mind, and then click on your character. In listen to the audio, make sure that you disassociate from the situation and look at it from an observer. listen to the audio what it's saying, okay? Because it's looping the same things over and over again.
Now click on your character again. And then notice that there's a visual there, okay? Not only are you hearing an audio, but you're also seeing an image, okay? And then whatever image that you're attaching to that, right? Notice that in your mind, so that fear and doubt now has an audio and a visual representation in your mind that is creating these negative feelings right about what you're currently experiencing. So this is typically invisible until you can actually analyze that audio.
And then you can begin to see that video right, of exactly how that sounds and what exactly that looks like. So you're then trying to consciously override that with positive thoughts, right? Because this negativity is going on in your back your mind. Hey, don't mess this up. Hey, I hope I can have this job, I hope I can, you know, make this happen. And then you are on top of that, trying to override it like no, you know, I'm actually the greatest, I'm the best.
So understand the difference there you have that audio that visual, you know, going on the back of your mind, and then you're trying to consciously override that with positive thoughts, right? So imagine that you've attached a visual representation of that audio right? to that of an evil villain, okay? And then imagine that you're conscious override of those positive thoughts, okay? To be a superhero, or a mythological character of some sorts, okay, that you admire. Maybe it's Superman, maybe it's the Hulk or whatever kind of character that you admire that you want that to be right.
Now, imagine your superhero or mythological character 10 times the size of that evil villain, okay? And notice how there isn't even a competition when they're standing next to each other. Your character is 10 times the size of that evil villain and it's not even You know, any type of competition there, you then notice that that superhero who's 10 times that size, right? stomps on that evil villain, like a bug, okay? They just stomp on that bug, like it's no problem. Like, it's nothing like it's a pest.
Right? Like, what are you doing here? It's not even a real fight, right? So this is how you can create your mental gatekeeper by being able to understand that you have these negative thought patterns in your mind and it's looping. And it's right before you are trying to imagine a positive outcome. Remember, because we went through how to create positive outcomes, how to create positive situations, and realities right through our visualization.
And so when you are going into maybe public speaking or some kind of thing that is out of your comfort zone, and you know, you have a little bit of fear and doubt there, utilize this technique to be able to stop that villain dead in its tracks and stomp it like the bug that it is because it's No competition, right? You are more powerful than that. So you are in this sense creating a mental gatekeeper of your mind, right? So that anytime that that particular negativity, or you know that thought process, that audio that visual comes into your mind, you know that it's no competition and you're going to stomp it like a book. So super powerful technique here, really wanted to share this with you. Hopefully, you're able to utilize this to your advantage to your benefit, and that's going to be here and we'll see you guys in the next one.
