Transcript

This video, we're going to talk about the two types of communication, the external and the internal ways of communicating with the world and with ourselves. So, as you notice from this particular image here, I have somebody coming out of the tunnel here, and essentially what this particular entire section is going to be about, as far as the different lessons within this module here, we're going to walk through several different techniques through this particular module here, this section. In this particular lecture here, I'm going to share with you the two different types of communication and how you can use those to your advantage here. So let's go right ahead and jump into this. Now there's two forms of communication. As I mentioned, it's going to be the internal communication with yourself.

And the other is the external communication with the outside world, right. So the internal communication is everything that you say to yourself about yourself. So just think about your internal dialogue, write your internal communication that says, This is who I am. These are my beliefs, until this is essentially your self image that you've told yourself to be true. This is who I am, I'm a x person, I have x job, this is who I am. I'm a middle class person, I am a above average person.

I'm a rich individual, whatever that may be, right? However it is that you see yourself and how you identify yourself. So here's an example. I suck at XYZ, because of why, if only I could do x or have X, I would be happy. If you recall from one of the other lectures, where I go over what things really mean, right? Where everything that happens to you, you're constantly deciding and choosing the meaning that you're attaching to it right?

So you have to understand that you have to practice the control of your thoughts at every given moment, as you're constantly deciding what each thought means, right? You're putting meaning to that Thought, right? Every single time and with your internal communication, here's the thing, you have thoughts that are going on in your mind, right? All day long, hey, I'm not this, I'm good at this, I suck at this, all these different things. And your internal communication is where you get to say and decide, actually, you know what, no, I do not suck at this. I just don't happen to be very good at this particular moment.

But I know that if I continue to practice and get better, right, things are going to change. It's going to be a difference there, right? So you're constantly having these thoughts run through your mind on autopilot, and you get to decide the meaning that you're attaching to them. Right? And here's a powerful technique that you can use to stop negative thoughts then attract. So whenever a negative thought crosses your mind and you notice it, right, because you're becoming more aware of your thoughts, right?

Stop the thought and save yourself. I do not recognize that thought as a valid thought. I do not recognize that as a valid thought, you then replace that thought immediately with a new positive thought. So remember, you have in the back of your mind, I suck at this, I'm good at this, all this different audio that's going on in the back of your mind. And once you hear that, and once you acknowledge that, you're able to stop that dead in his tracks and say, You know what, I do not recognize that as a valid thought. And you're going to begin to notice just how different you feel, how it's not affecting you, right?

Because that thought, you have become aware of it, and you're aware that it doesn't serve you. So you can replace it with a thought that actually does serve you. Okay? And so let's talk some more about internal communication because this is really what's going to rule your world right? Because if you can have the right internal communication, internal dialogue, you can say the right things to yourself, you then are going to experience that in the real world. So let's Go ahead and jump into more of internal communication.

So with internal communication, we've already kind of gone through the fact that, okay, the thought comes to you automatically on autopilot, right? And it's either positive or negative. But then you get to decide the meaning that you attach to that thought, right? So that's important you get to decide. And so then there's the what you tell yourself to think. Right?

So you have these thoughts going on in the back of your mind automatically, right, all on autopilot. And then there's the whole what you tell yourself to think about at that given moment. Let's say you stop and you say, I want to think about a pink pony or a pony, right? You're going to think about that, right? But behind that, you have all your thoughts going on a million miles an hour automatically, right? So you have the power over your thoughts at all times.

The key here is the awareness of your thoughts that Do not serve you to be able to stop those dead in the tracks, right? So here's an example. So you test something in your business, which doesn't result in a positive outcome, maybe you lose some money, whatever that may be. Number one, you can tell yourself, man, you just wasted a great deal of time, energy and resources, and this and that, and you, you know, lost this customer, and you know, all these different negative things, but then you can choose to tell yourself something positive. So telling yourself something along the lines of, Hey, you know, well, this was time well spent running the test to gather data, the data is telling me that this is not worth pursuing. And that's it.

Because you can sit here and complain about, you know, this happened, you know, I lost all this time, this energy, all these resources, all these different things, but what is that going to do for you? It's not going to do a single thing for you, but keep you in the negative state of mind, right? So the key here is to catch yourself with the negative Thought so that you can immediately change it with a positive thought, just like when example to hear. Okay, so one of the things that I like to do is I like to identify negative thoughts as thick, dense square pegs. And my positive thoughts are round pegs, okay, in my mind is the round hole. And so you obviously can't fit a square peg into a round hole.

So those negative thoughts are getting blocked, right? And one thing that you really need to become aware of is that your thoughts come from your unconscious, and when you stop and you become aware and talk to yourself about those thoughts, right? That's the real you. That's the real person that is actually living in your body, right the beam. So you need to be able to understand that your thoughts are coming from your unconscious all the time on just complete repeat, right? And it's saying this is saying that but you get to tell yourself how you feel.

You have The right to choose any thought at any given time, nobody can take that away from you. So that's really important here to keep in mind that you are in complete control of your mind your thoughts, and whenever you have any kind of negativity going through your mind, any kind of thoughts that are not serving you, you have the ability to stop and change those into positive ones.
