Curly top knot tutorial. let's hook those two sections together and get a nice foundation for this up do. I'm going to give you a look at the entire set. Just in case you're not familiar working with hot rollers. I pinned them together. I'm not using the clips that come with the hot rollers they tend to take up too much room and get in the way.
The model on the cover had much longer and thicker hair, but the idea is the same and building out this style. So some magic. That's our finished look. Now let's see how we do it. I'm going to section out the bottom row first. And take all the middle curls and just pin them out of the way.
So I can get my foundation done and get the balance set right away. And I don't always make every girl perfectly because they need to be adjusted and moved around. We're just going for a foundation all around the ponytail at this point. And getting that bottom row, fairly secure. Unreal clients, I work with more product. I don't like to goof up my mannequin heads.
But I normally also like to keep the look somewhat loose. So I can adjust it for the client. Before we give the final tightening. Now moving up to the second row, just a little bit of tease and I as you can see, I really don't fight the hair, I let it drop, kind of in the direction where it wants to go. I have an idea about the texture, and you'll see that this barrel curl here Kind of splits into. So we don't actually get a full barrel curl.
This piece here will be fed through the curl, so that we can bring another talent to the front. And it's just kind of going around and back and forth, keeping things loose, so we can make adjustments later on. The worst thing that can happen is you make in your mind perfect curl and a great look. And then the clients not happy and then there's just so much product and it's pinned so tightly, you can't make any adjustments. This has always been my method. And it gives the clients the freedom to say, Hmm, that's a little high or it's too wide or I don't like that curl.
And this is the way I've worked for years. Taking one last girl I always leave one last girl. fit it in where there needs to be some filling. And just taking again a look I'm spreading things out, give the final spray. Get the okay from the client and we're done. Thanks for watching.
