Block printing can be a fun way to liven up fabrics or clothing that you already have or to create fresh of kind pieces to share. As far as printing processes it's really the easiest to do at home on a small scale with little equipment and materials. It's open to anyone but they must be comfortable with a sharp tool. So little ones or those with difficulty using their hands or with sensitive wrists may have a hard time so I wouldn't recommend it.
In the 90 minute video, I will introduce the materials, show how to transfer your artwork, set up a printing station at home, measure for a repeat pattern, and finally print. The time needed will vary depending on the artwork you choose. The carving of the block will take the most time, at possibly an hour but maybe shorter. The video speeds up while I demo this as well as when I'm printing. It's sectioned into parts so you can pause and come back to the class when it suits your schedule. Take as much time as you need, and definitely keep printing when we're done.
