Part 1: Transfer Artwork to Block

You could draw straight onto the block, but take note that your block will print in reverse. So I suggest tracing your artwork first. Use a pencil to trace your artwork onto transparent paper. Center the tracing on the block, and using your carving tool handle rub across the artwork. The pencil marks will easily transfer to the block. This creates a mirrored image that will print in the correct direction.
