How right we made it to Module Three mastering self care. Several months ago, I sent out a survey to working moms and dads and asked one question, what's your biggest challenge is working parents? overwhelmingly, the number one response was I don't have enough time. So as you can tell, this program was designed to address that issue first and foremost. But the second response very close. Second was I never have enough me time.
I know as a working parent, your own needs usually end up dead last on your list of priorities. But the problem was always putting yourself last is that you usually end up depleting yourself and after a while, you're no good to anyone, least of all yourself. So in the first lesson of the third module, we're going to talk about why self care is so important. Next, we're going to go through a few of the reasons why it can be so hard to put yourself first and what you can do to prevent those things from holding you back from integrating self care into your life. Then we're going to go over some self care basics so that you know what area As you should be focusing on to implement more self care into your life. Then we're going to pull everything together that we learned in this program.
And you're going to finalize your life balance plan so that you can move forward with peace, wellness and focus as you finish up this program and go about your life. So let's break down each lesson into goals so that you know what to expect. In the first lesson, we're going to dive deep into what the real risks are for neglecting yourself care. And then on the flip side, we're going to talk about the amazing benefits you'll receive from focusing on your health and well being. Part of that is going to be showing you that you are not the only one who will benefit from self care, the people you're trying so hard to help right now are actually going to be better off in the long run, the healthier and happier you are. So let's get rid of some of that working parent guilt.
In lesson two, we're going to start by bringing to light the most common excuses people give for neglecting their self care After that, we're gonna dive deep into identifying the excuses that are holding you back from making your self care a priority. And then once you have your inventory of excuses handy, we're going to bust those excuses. We're going to challenge some excuses and come up with a plan to overcome them. Then in lesson three, we're going to talk about the five areas of life that will lead you to feeling much more balanced. After that, you'll break down those five areas to make sure that you're including at least a few activities in each. And finally, we'll talk about the best ways to start to implement these activities into your schedule.
Now that you've simplified your schedule a bit. Once you have your self care plan under control, the last piece of this entire program is to finalize your life balance plan. We're going to do the last revision of your life balance plan before I release you back into the wild. And then at the end of this program, you're going to commit to striving for a more balanced life going forward in your life. And now that you have a plan for creating A balanced life, you're going to be much stronger in a much stronger position to continue making this a part of your everyday life. Okay, so let's do this.
