Welcome back, you made it to the module two overview. So module one was all about setting the stage for a different kind of life, a more balanced life. A lot of what we talked about in that, in that module was philosophical and self developmental. Module One was really all about helping you get as much clarity of your internal world as possible. In Module Two, we're going to start to get into more serious time management tactics. Lesson One, we're going to be taking a look at your current schedule, it's important to start getting all of the pieces of your life in order.
But first, we need to figure out what all of those pieces are. And listen to we're going to start editing your schedule, get ready, because you're going to start making some tough and maybe not so tough decisions about how you spend your time. But at the end of the day, you're going to have a much more manageable schedule that actually reflects those values and priorities you established in module one. Then in lesson three, we're going to move on to talk about how you can increase your efficiency even more at work. And be warned, you won't be increasing your efficiency just so you can take on more work. No way.
We're going to talk more about how to save you time and energy, so that you can feel like you're on top of things at work again, and feel like you're working at a reasonable, reasonable pace rather than rushing through your workday. We also start to feel like you can get everything on your list done every day so that you can stroll out of the office at night and spend some guilt free, focused quality time with your family, without stressing out about everything that you still have left to do. Then in lesson four, we're going to bring it full circle and talk about some of the ways that you can better manage your personal schedule as well. This is important because if you have kids, make no mistake, you have a second full time job waiting for you at home. But there are some ways to slow down and finally enjoy the people and projects that are really important to you.
By the end of this lesson, you're not only going to have time for fun and romance and play again, you're also going to know exactly where all of that fits into your schedule. So let's break down the goals for each of these lessons so that you know exactly what you're going to accomplish in each lesson. And lesson one, you're going to have an opportunity to finally take a good hard look at your schedule. That means that you're not going to be able to avoid the reality of where your time goes anymore. There's no judgment in this process. We all have things on our schedule that we're not proud of.
But it's important to figure out a baseline for our time. Once you have an idea of where your time is going, you're gonna evaluate how that time is spent. Again, there are no judgments, we're just going to take this opportunity to decide how you really feel about the way that you're spending your time. I promise there gonna be some surprises in this lesson. But you'll also start to get a sense of how you might be able to maximize your time even more. Which brings us to the third goal in this lesson, which is breaking the activities you spend time on into essential and trivial activities.
We'll talk about what those terms really mean and how you can make it work for you. After you've gotten a good idea of where your time is going, we're going to start editing your schedule, meaning we're going to figure out which activities in your life aren't in alignment with your deepest values and top priorities. We're also going to start to remove those items in your life that aren't really serving you or even worse or causing you stress, anxiety, frustration, illness, or even anger, then we're going to take it even one step further and reduce or remove those activities that you might like, but aren't as important as some of the other things that you could be spending your time on. This lesson is all about realizing that you have a choice about how you spend your time. And together we're gonna make, we're going to start making smarter and more intentional choices.
So once you've pared down your schedule to the basics, we're gonna free up even more time by focusing on some efficiency tools. There are a lot of things that you can do to start saving time at work. And that's what this lesson is all about. First, we're going to go over a number of different strategies that you can implement right away. To start saving you time and energy at work, then we're going to talk about how you can manage your boss and your co workers. So you stop living at the whim of everyone else around you.
And then finally, we're going to discuss some ways you can disconnect from your job when you're not there so that you can finally be present in the rest of your life. Okay, finally, in lesson four, we're going to talk about managing your personal life in a much more effective way. First, you're going to stop seeing your spouse as the enemy and get back on the same page. I'm going to give you some tips and tools you can use to start working together so that you're both happy and satisfied at home, rather than blaming each other and bickering because you're both too overwhelmed. those first few years after you have a baby are incredibly difficult for families. And I want to help you use this time in your life to strengthen the foundation of your family.
Next, we're going to talk about other sources of support you have available to you. I know so many of you out there feel like you need to be superheroes, but we're going to talk about how you can start utilizing that tribe. That you built in module one. And then finally, we're also going to look at what you're currently doing in your personal life that you don't really have to do. Yes, the bills need to get paid and you need to eat and a clean house is always nice. But I'm going to help you open your mind to the fact that you may not need to be personally responsible for dedicating all of your free time to it.
Those things can be done without you personally wasting your time on them. Okay, so let's dive into module two. Go ahead and download the audio for lesson two schedule analysis to get started.
