Welcome back to 20 minutes and 20 days we are going to talk about we're running four laps today. Already Know your four laps running four laps are not hard, it just means you're moving them a lot quicker. But you can do it absolutely will build up to a speed where you're actually at a run. For now, I'm just going to kind of talk you through some of how to make that happen. And then it's a great thing to practice on your own. So you already know your flaps, right.
So again, a running flap is simply moving those feet faster. I think one thing to think about when you're going fast is to keep your even though you're traveling, you want to still keep your steps kind of small again, like your tap box moves with you as opposed to you traveling beyond it. Okay, so I'm actually going to show this to you side to side because it'll be easier See? Okay, so we're going to do running flaps across. So we do full lap. And I can show you the other way as well.
So if you'll notice I'm keeping my feet very close to my body. Some things that happen that aren't going to be very helpful sometimes are when you try to really leap kind of forward and you kick back, don't really want to think about you want to keep them right underneath you very small. And then I would always say just, you know, start at your speed, go a little bit faster every day. So you build up to it. It's not something that you have to try and take off running. You don't have to do that at all.
Now, when I go backwards, it's the same concept. I think one thing that's helpful when you're going backwards Think about your legs kicking out in front, not dramatically, but just a little bit. And that will ensure that you can still make your correct sounds because as you're going backwards running, it's easier to skip some of those sounds or to start scraping or things like that. So let's do it. So we we can start off. So if you'll notice I did start off a little bit slower and then I really do kind of have my feet kick out in front of me a little bit.
So I'll show you that again. Right, so if I'm facing you here, I will go. And so you can kind of see that my feet are brushing out a little bit in front of me as well. And again, this is something To build towards it's not something that necessarily get just in one day but as you continue to increase your speed over time, these will actually become really natural and super fun. So it's a good thing to work towards. Good job.
