Welcome back. And we are going to work on our double shuffles today. They are exactly what they sound like two shuffles in a row, they are faster, and the emphasis actually changes a little bit. So you can do shuffles in a wide variety of ways you can do it where the rhythm stays very even. And that's what we've been kind of working towards. We've been doing out in out in So thinking about it as 1212.
But you can also do them faster with the emphasis coming back in towards you, as opposed to keeping in an even rhythm. And that's what the doubles are going to work with a lot. So I want to go ahead and explore just that concept and then we'll try them as doubles. So again, we're used to going out in out and kind of a swinging emotions bound. Now we're gonna think about it coming back to This really rapidly. So I'm going to go and one and two, and three and four.
So again, I'm thinking I'm really emphasizing that brush back, more so than the brush board and one and two, and three. And, yeah, so when we do a double, we definitely want to put two of them together. And then we want to have a slight pause before we go to our next level. So it's really clear, I'm doing a double, and then another double, another double. So one of the great things about tap is that you are actually I think it's, I think it's funny and great. You're either right or wrong, there's not an in between.
So when you do these double shuffles, you want to make sure that each step is very isolated, and that will help the clarity of the step two. So we have and there's your double, yeah, so that's one double. We're gonna do four doubles to the front. We're going to go and two and three Yeah, and we're going to do the same thing to the other side as well. And then we'll talk about the side in the back but just starting four on the right, four on the left, we have double 1234. All right, good to the left.
Excellent. Okay. Now we have to this side, same concept, out in, in, out in, coming back towards me very rapidly. So it'll be like I said, same thing. I go in one, and 234. So we have the double.
Yeah, okay. Let's do that. So there you go. Good. Other side. Good.
Okay. to the back, the back is a little trickier, it usually takes a little bit more practice. So don't feel bad if it doesn't come naturally or right away. No big deal, it always takes us just a smidgen longer with the back, you really have to have a loose ankles. And you really want to make sure that you're playing using those bended knees because that's going to really help you and the more that you can almost think about flapping your foot, as opposed to really holding it tight, the better those sounds are going to actually work out for you. So it's gonna go right?
And it kind of looks like it's passing. So don't worry if that's how you feel if you're making the right sounds, it doesn't matter. Okay. They're gonna turn around and we'll do for right and for last, and I'll go at the same speed that I've been doing the other ones but if you need to slow them down, of course feel free. Again, the ones that back tend to take a look Little bit long here to master so no stress there. Okay, to the back, Queen, and other side.
One of those things to definitely practice a lot. You want to make sure that those sounds are always crisp, clean and clear the entire time you're doing them
