Today we're going to talk about so in top, we actually have a whole bunch of different steps that are called risks and they're different counts. And so the different counts are the different sounds, how many sounds are making progress. The first one we're going to learn is a three count riff and it does not travel, but the rest of them, while not quite all the rest of them, but four or five, six and seven cameras all do travel. You can reverse these eventually, too, if you're feeling extra ambitious, but we won't do that in this series. But you can always play with it and kind of figure it out for yourself a good brain teaser for sure. Okay, so with that three count riff.
What's great about it is it does kind of stay in place. It's fun. If you're just trying to do something that's a small movement, you just kind of want an interesting variation in sounds and rhythm. However, as you've probably been noticing, it all happens on one foot. So if you're gonna do it continuously, you end up doing it on one foot. So a three count of riff change is really straightforward.
All I'm going to do is put my foot down in between, and that way I can go right, left, right, left. So just to give you some context, it goes toe, heel, heel, step. That's it. Toe, heel, heel, step. Remember, this step doesn't include that heel. So we just want to be conscious of not including that hill sound.
So let's just try that eight times. Right, left, right, left. So I'm going to do my three count riff change it goes. Toe, heel, heel, step, toe, heel, heel, step. Toe, heel, heel, step, toe, heel, heel, step. And there you have it.
All right. So I did the three count riff change. One little thing I want to talk about with this stuff, because this can be a sticking point sometimes is just really trying to be clear on exactly what that is. So after you do your toe dig here, I am brushing my heels forwards, but I'm not picking up my toes until I have to. So the contact with the floor is made there. And then you know, and then it can come up.
But it actually goes down, up. Yeah, that's a scarf. So to give you a different perspective, here it goes. One stuff. Yeah. So your toe dig here.
And then my heels gonna drop and brush forward, like so. And that's your scarf. All right, that's your three count reps. We'll build on tomorrow.
