Hello, this is Rob here from Rob coven.com. And now is the last stage, we're going to add the text to the image. So if we click on that top there, and let's select that vector smart objects and with the move tool, we can see yes, it fits in nicely. That's great. A little bit more I want to do to the image. I'm still not very happy with the top there, it does still look like something funny is going on.
So let's with the layer palette, let's click there, create a new layer, and I'm going to click on this or press D which gives us the default foreground and background colors which is just black and white. I'm going to click on here which is our gradient tool. And then up the top here I'm going to make sure I have black to Transparent selected or foreground transparent lated and then with the gradient tool, I'm going to drag down from the top. And what that does is give us a gradient from black to Transparent for the length of which I dragged the tool, and that's going to mask the top of it a bit. We don't want it that much. So we'll cut the opacity of the layer down to 50% or something like that.
And in the Layers palette, we can give this logo the specter Smart Object some effects. So we're going to choose Color Overlay. And here we're going to choose white. That's done double click on effects again, and let's choose a drop shadow. Give it a bit of a spread and a bigger size. So that makes the headline stand out a little bit.
We can make it a little bit bigger. In fact, let's make the color overlay, some sort of Goldy color because white isn't very Christmassy. And there you have it. There is our Christmas card. Merry Christmas. This has been Rob from Rob coven calm.
Thank you very much for listening. Goodbye.
