The ability to stay focused is so important that I challenge myself every day to work with the maximum amount of focus possible because it's really easy to neglect the importance of focusing. And remember that when you only focus in one thing at a time, you accomplish much more than when you try to multitask. In reality, multitasking is a myth your brain can to really focus in two things at once. It is constantly switching the context from one task to another which waste is your energy willpower, and D motivates you to do other things when you consciously decide to focus on one thing at a time, your productivity already increases a lot and you are able to finish tasks in a much shorter period of time since I started paying more attention to my levels of focus, consciously trying to maximize My ability to focus my results in all areas of my life improved, I had better grades while studying less, I started creating much more material to my online classes and blogs, I started doing way more things and learning more skills than I thought I couldn't ever do.
Because I didn't have time. All of this requires to shut your phone off, and to find a place where you have no distractions and where you feel good. And remember to set priorities and intentions that will guide you through the process. Every night I write the things I want to get done the next day, and the estimate the time it will take me to finish those. And then I grab my calendar in my planner and I block my time I block my day to actually accomplish those things. So if I have to study for 45 minutes, I will grab my planner and I will block 45 minutes to study and when the focusing session starts.
I don't do any Anything else besides studying, and I block all the distractions that might emerge. And I never go beyond 45 minutes without giving myself a break, because after that period of your brain kind of starts to shut off. So it's important to give yourself a break. After a period of focusing, I can tell you that my good grades in college are highly correlated with my ability to focus that I've been developing throughout the years. And if I have to give one piece of advice to anyone who's struggling with getting the results they really want is to focus in one single thing at a time and block all of those distractions that are around you. And remember that focusing is a skill that you can develop every single day for more than three years.
Now that I've been applying all of these productivity tips that I'm sharing with you. And in the beginning, it was really weird to see that I've just finished all of the tasks for the day just in the morning, but these only happening because when I was completing a task, I was only completing that one task. It might be tempting to deal with two things at once. But in reality, you are stealing your productivity. You are stealing from your greatness in your ability to achieve better results for yourself because the effort and the energy that your brain wasted while switching from one task to another will make you less productive and not more productive. It's okay to wash the dishes while you talk to your family, or to iron your clothes while you listen to an audiobook.
But it's not okay to finish a really important project. While we constantly check your Instagram feed. We all want to hear those crazy hacks that promise to change our lives by increasing our productivity. Marine reality. We already know which things are really important and that will really make us more productive and focusing is one The most important one, focusing is common sense but unfortunately is not common practice. So please make focusing one of your most important daily habits and you will see yourself accomplishing more in a very short period of time.
