What is affecting your sleep? We're going to be asking some questions here. So it'd be useful to have a pen and paper handy, so that you can begin to write down the answers. There may be many reasons why your health is affecting your sleep, and we'll be having a look at those. Your sleep may also be affecting your health. So of course, it's important for us to discuss both aspects.
So if you can write down the answers to these questions, what medications Am I taking currently? How much exercise Do I have each day? What am I currently doing? and be honest now because this is the time to start making changes. What stress do I encounter each day? am I eating the good foods that my body actually needs?
Does my mind keep returning to the past? Did I smile and laugh today? Did I have a stress free day today? Did I have enough energy today? Did I relax today? Did I look after myself today we're going to be looking a little bit about stress levels that affect your hormones.
And then your hormones obviously affect your sleep. So your hormone levels affect your sleep. Your ability to remain unstressed, will improve your ability to sleep. And so you can see how that's a circle of deteriorating health, which occurs really quickly. One leads to the other and leads back worrying about what might happen The future often affects how well you sleep. Whether it's work, study or relationships, your ability to cope with the life around you will impact directly on your health and your sleep.
We'll look in detail at how to change the your ability to react to the stressors around you. And we'll cover that in the stress chapter. Without enough sleep, you don't have enough energy. And without enough energy, you can't stay healthy. We need energy to exercise but exercise gives us energy, energy and exercise improve our sleep. That circle again, sleep is controlled by your hormones.
If you're taking regular metal medications which affect your hormones, you might well be interfering with your sleep hormones, taking medications for sleep, don't help your body rebalance the whole men's needed to improve your sleep. So it's not helping your body's ability to create the hormones it needs and to keep the whole men's needs in the right balance. If you're in pain, this is affecting your sleep, then you may need to consider if your current medications or health plan is working. So the real, the real question there is, is your health improving with the medication that you're taking? If you can safely say that it's getting worse, not better, then maybe it's time to consider other options of health. Natural Health methods work in a very different ways and mainstream medication And it may be time to start exploring them.
The food we eat can be affecting the way you sleep. alcohol and other stimulants may be affecting the way you sleep. Sugar is often a primary culprit. The food we actually must be the foods that our body needs because our body are highly sophisticated machines that need nutrients to make it work properly. If they're not getting the nutrients it needs, we can't expect it to be working like a well oiled machine. Food should be chosen for its content if we're to improve our chances of staying healthy and being able to sleep at night.
