Moving on to foods to create harmony and balance within our bodies. So these are foods that create nice peaceful environments within our bodies and also within our mind, things like linen sheets, soap lenses, Lindsey tea is fantastic and very soothing for the body and you'll notice when you start drinking it, if you sensitive to foods, even if you're not sensitive to foods, you take some linseed tea in the night, and it's very relaxing, you'll often find that you'll have a nice night's sleep after that. So in general, like one part, the lemon seeds, the five part mortar and then allowing it to bring it to the bind, being careful that it doesn't boil over because it does often. So bring it to the bottom and then similar in for roughly five to 10 minutes and then switching it off, saving the linseed out and then magnetically with them because obviously boiling and then drinking as a tea is different.
Some people think that lathan ethical is quite, it seems gelatinous, but when it's very soothing for the system and it switches on hydration, as soon as it reaches the core line, it almost fools the call on end to believe in is hydrated because it's got the essential fatty acids that we need, and also the water that we need as well and it's very hydrating. Chia orange is another one because again, it's got the essential fatty acids. So if we just soak in a little bit of cheese, some chia seeds with either a net milk or milk, almond milk and milk for example a seed milk, then we can add some sweetness to it maybe some vanilla powder, vanilla essence or we can add some stevia to it just to give it a little bit of sweetness or even some dried fruit. To example some nice organic dried fruit, then that can be a delicious snack.
And it can be very sustaining as a snack as well because it's got essential fatty acids, but also very soothing because we got the next balance of water and essential fatty acids, then just generally gives a nice balance and harmony throughout the system. Sharp green brown rice is another one that does that show green brown rice is very hydrating, it absorbs lots of water but what I would say is when you're using things like sharp green brown rice is making sure that we soak it overnight ideally first at least for a couple of hours. And just notice the difference is a totally different experience when you start soaking the grains before it in and then the much more hydrate them and they feel like they digest so much better because they're not as hot even when you cook like brown rice or white rice, for the recommended time on the back of the pocket, for example, then it can still be a little bit hard and doesn't feel like you know, maybe consider a new stomach sitting your digestion through.
Whereas when you've soaked it the night before, it's very hydrating. And it feels really good and it's basically within the system. soups and one pot fish is also really good for creating balance and harmony. The ancient traditions used to do it regularly. One of the ways they do it in a plant based diet is they offer grain with a pulse, and then some vegetables. So you get all the food groups you need is a complete protein because you mix in the grain with the pulse.
And then it's called kitchen that's called kitchen in India. And it's a staple diet, they say is a poor man's feast because we've got all of the food groups who need it. very nutritious issue within the system and things like macrobiotics they use this type of cooking they slow cook their food for a long period of time. So then by the time we eat that food, it's already pre digested almost and then it doesn't take as much of the digested fire to burn it up and usually there's some spices in there also, so it's easy to burn out because there's quite a lot of fire out already. And of course traditionally we would have been cooked and open fires. But these days I mean there's gas cookers on now they've got electric cookers gas is one step at that again, then the electric have goes for them even open fire.
I know not many of us cope like that these days, but that that flame that fire then goes into the food and helps the fire digestion. Another way to create harmony and balance within the system is to have a mono diet that a lot of people promote mono diet they will leave just One food on one fast seems safe for seven days, they'll just eat brown rice. So they're just a doll or just whatever it is, but just having that that one food because it's much easier for the digestion, simplifying things. And of course, maybe on the long term, it wouldn't be so beneficial because you're not getting all the nutrients in the array of foods that we need, especially for short term or even different mealtimes and we can have a mourner food or just eat in one particular food at that time, then you'll find the digest digestion thrives in it, because it's just that one food is going in and knows what's coming in and then it just the digestive fire and the digestive enzymes then know what to come in.
And it's a lot faster than just therefore creates a life of digestion. And things can pass through us a lot, a lot faster, we can get the nutrients that we need from them, and then allow them to pass through the system. Then we can use steam badge and then simplify in our foods. So steamed veggies Real simple food, we can have seen vegetables, we can have soups, and then the key is simplifying. So we may be taking things like salt, spices, etc out of those foods as well, just to simplify them as much as possible, so they can start to create harmony and balance within our system. So I hope you enjoy implementing those tips into your diet and give it a try.
If it works for you and fantastic, continue doing it. Some of the things may not work for you. But in general, these are the things that we've come to know as practitioners over time with our clients, and what we've learned as well from people that have had much experience within this field.
