So these naturopathic techniques need to be done as part of the three stages of the naturopathic philosophy. And what we describe as the three stages of the philosophy is, first of all stage one, making sure you have in your four pints of water and reducing caffeinated drink sugar alcohol, if not giving them up. And also looking at the water rich Diet and Reducing the stress of the diet. What I mean by that is allowing the body to actually have more detoxification, and therefore taking out congested foods. Some examples of that would be gluten, dairy products, sugar, meat intake, processed food intake. So if this thing if this stage one, you'd want to be addressing those things and bringing in more water rich foods, organic foods, more plant based foods.
Stage two then might be where you start to use essential fatty acids and to start to remineralize the body through life enhancing foods At a plant based and alive in nature, as part of that stage two, then the system is starting to detoxify and starting to heal, and in that process you would then that would be a wonderful time for the naturopathic techniques. So as we start to detoxify you want to improve the temperature in the body improves the vitality in the system and improve liver function. So thinking about stage two, starting to have more exercise, more massage, and lymphatic drainage, the vatic drainage to hot and cold showers to be using the skin brushing but using only one technique per day so not overdoing it is treating the body with respect and doing it very gradually. So because if you overwhelm the cells and overwhelm the liver by doing too much too quickly, you can find it if you lower in energy and over detoxing is just as bad as not detoxing at all.
So you don't want to set the body into shock. chaos, you want to do very, very gradually and do it safely to that. So it's manageable. So you're doing enough for detoxification, but not too much that you've been forcing yourself some symptoms. And so starting with stage two thinking about what are your symptoms right now? How can you actually incorporate these techniques daily so it becomes manageable a daily part of lifestyle.
And remember to get the body to a point of sweating and warm so that your system is really more energized to be able to detoxify and remembering to do a technique that you find it's fun. So, you know, exercise is a key thing, you and also the techniques that make you feel good. So some of my clients that major compresses and some will say that absolutely felt totally amazing. And then another person might say, I got nothing at all. So you'd want to give it a chance certainly by doing the series of three consecutive days per week for three weeks. But if there's Still no positive effect there.
It might not be that your technique is appropriate for you right now in these circumstances. So I'd really recommend you look and feel to see what technique is working for you. I absolutely love the hot and cold showers I find to get a lot out of that another client might find it causes them to feel really stressed. So in our philosophy, when we feel stressed, it can cause dehydration, and it creates changes in the body chemistry. So within within our diets within stage two within our techniques, we need to be incorporated techniques and dietary methods that we find that effective for us to improve in our long term sort of mood and how to only do what you feel happy with is my message here. And then stage three is using supplementation and naturopathic techniques daily and certainly weekly to make you feel better, longer term.
So again, the same thing applies is really only you gravitate towards the things that you really enjoy. So I'm not a great believer in taking supplements that tastes horrible or that you find that, you know, you have to sort of hold, you know, to take them and different things, but you want, you want to be doing things that feel really good for you. And something that feels really good will change your life within three days, you don't have to be looking at weeks of taking something to see that difference. If something is natural and suitable for where you're at. And it's going to work for you as an individual, you'll see a difference in three days. So keep those methods go in that really feel life enhancing that really work for you that you can incorporate it within your lifestyle simply so it's not causing you stress, and then the stress equals dehydration.
So anything that is causing stress creates a biochemical reaction within the body that can actually create you to feel more out of balance. And so when we Don't want to be forcing, you know, things like colonics and enemas or techniques that someone's uncomfortable with. We want you to read around these techniques to really look into what what are the benefits for you, and to really get a chance to find something that feels very motivational for you. So if you want to do them regularly so that you want to self improve, so that your diet becomes up, it naturally becomes you and who you are as an individual.
