So now we're just going to highlight some of the aspects of the naturopathic nutrition diet and what it involves. So some of the things that much classic nutrition diet we do not do, which will go into more detail in further programs, but just to give you a little highlight is we don't eat things like gluten, dairy, especially processed dairy, and hydrogenated dairy. We don't eat things like the Beltone or family, which is things like potatoes, tomatoes, peppers, or blue jeans. Because these are slightly poisonous, and if we ingest too much of them, then we can get top toxicity within our system, which challenges our body. Likewise with the gluten that's another reason why we don't eat tend to eat gluten as foods, because that also challenges the body. So with a natural path nutrition approach.
We're trying to take things that challenge the body out, and we're trying to give what the body needs. So we're going to give them things that are high in nutrients, things like superfoods, we're going to give things that are nutrient dense, they're high in vitamins and minerals. We don't tend we, another thing we tend to do with naturopathic nutrition approach is to eat as local, homegrown organic as we possibly can. Now we okay we all know within the 21st century, and it can be a little bit challenging if we need to go out for food or whatever some circumstances come in, and it can be difficult to follow the perfect diet. So what we usually advise people not to get too rigid. We are going to overview all of the aspects of the naturopathic nutrition approach within these views.
Yours and within this rejuvenation program. And sometimes let's be honest, we're not going to be able to fulfill them all. But the key is not to beat ourselves up and not to be too rigid, because that can also have a negative effect on our health. In fact, that can have more of a negative effect that they'll have. So what we want to do is try our best to implement these things as much as we possibly can. And other times we can not to be themselves to be kind to ourselves all the time, because it's been tested scientifically.
But if we're not kind to ourselves, that also has a damaging effect on our health. So within this program, don't be too hard on yourself, especially if you're not doing many of these things at the moment. They may be things that it may take you a little time to implement these things. Some of you may be able to implement them straightaway and absolutely love doing it and that's fine, but it's important for you to take Based off your own pace, take it step by step at your own pace, and starting to do some things at your own pace also in line with the goals and objectives that you've set. And of course, you've got to challenge yourself but don't challenge yourself so much that it becomes a burden and it gets too difficult to do. Another thing you might notice naturopathic nutrition approaches that people around you will get challenged.
This often happens with our clients. Because as you start to make intentions to make changes, this also pushes buttons within close members of your family, your friends. The reason being is that they may still be following the things that you used to follow and when you start to make changes, this also makes them feel like they need to make changes. But when we can help with your family like that, or your friends, is to say I do in this, there's no need, there's no pressure for you to make any changes. I'm going to make these changes if you want to come along with me then that's great. It is good to have a buddy a partner, or somebody close to you, especially to help you to make these changes.
However, if that person doesn't want to do it, then we strongly advise not to push it down their throats as it were. Because this will just repel them and make them this unit. So it's good to do things for ourselves. This is just speaking from experience and the courses I'm from our own experiences as well. We've noticed that it's much better to do things for sat and naturally and organically when other people see that the benefits that you're getting from this program, they also want a piece of it so they start asking you questions. And that's a much better way for them to get it because they feel like they've got the power and control within that because they've actually asked you and given you permission to guide them on your journey to have another couple of things that we don't eat this onions, garlic and mushrooms.
Now that may sound a little strange to you because there's onions and garlic and many things now in the Western diet, isn't it but onions and garlic also can be toxic to the body, especially if we have too many of them. So we generally advise to take the outdoor diet altogether to start off with an okay when you're out, maybe you can't because they are in so many things but at least in the house, you can try to minimize them as much as possible because they can have a negative effect and build toxicity within the system. anciently many ancient cultures do not eat onions and garlic, because of other factors also to do with meditation. Because it takes you off your focus there more than one passion to become very stimulated into our senses. And they can make us actually more addicted to the foods to be take them out.
And it's a good start because we can start then to more focus on what we want. Now it may sound a small thing and it is quite subtle, but those changes will have created Mushrooms is another thing we don't tend to advise. There are certain medicinal mushrooms which can be beneficial and taking them for certain periods. Similar thing to garlic. Sometimes with this new garlic can be used. It does kill off bacteria, but it kills off the good bacteria as well as the bad bacteria.
Now, we all know that we need a good gut flora in order to have optimum health and nutrition. So if we start to kill that off by having too much garlic, then our immune system is off to a bad start already. with mushrooms that grown in the dark, they're very dumb. So we advise and I think nutrition approach to go for a light diet is possible, but it needs to get as much light into our body as we can. So this means raw, fresh, organic or life, food is possible. And we're all going to be on different levels of like raw food, maybe you don't eat any raw food at the moment.
But what we start doing in the future programs is standardize how we can start incorporating just a little into the diet and how to neutralize the acidity and get more alkaline. So that's just a brief overview of some of the basic factors of the naturopathic nutrition approach. And what we try to advocate and what we've actually experienced through our years of practice that has the most beneficial effects with our clients.
