Welcome to the section on high energy superfoods. Firstly, we're going to speak about making our own superfoods grow in our own superfoods. So we can all grow our own vegetables and herb this book firstly we're going to start talking about herbs. So, herbs can be grown, whether you've got a flat in a high rise building, or whether you've got a house and you can grow them in your garden that's perfect. So we can grow things like mint passively, we can also get things like fresh metals from local environment. Now, these are going to be nutrient dense, we know that we've grown ourselves from hopefully from an organic seed.

If we can nice organic seeds, we're growing them ourselves. Not only is it going to be nutrient rich, but we've put the energy into growing them also. That's the perfect way in many ago our grandfather's our grandparents and generations before that everybody would be most people would be growing their own vegetables, they didn't have the supermarkets and the ease that we've got now of getting our hands on vegetables and fruits, etc. So one top tip for superfoods is we can grow around, we can grow around, we can get trays from the local garden center. We can buy quality seeds online, organic quality seeds online, and just have a little garden within our house and see how you go by using those on your foods just to get the nutrients on board. That's the top tip.

Grow Your Own herbs and pick things like fresh nettles. And then you can make nettle tea. even make a narrative soup. And there's plenty of recipes you can find online, things like that. Here's a common argument that comes up when we talk about superfoods. We get many superfoods these days, from places like Peru, South America, that across continents, they're traveling a lot, and often they come in in a powder form.

Yes, these public forms will still have nutrients in them and a lot of nutrients because these superfoods are called superfoods for that reason. They're called superfoods because they're highly nutrient dense, and especially some of them in particular nutrients, which we may be deficient in. So it's up to you to have a look at the ethical background of these superfoods seeing if they come in being seen if they're sourced from a sustainable place, and making sure that you know, you can use them, you don't have to use them for long periods of time. Sometimes we just need to take for like three months, just to get on nutrients packet, and then you may find even after taking them for three months, that you aren't going to taste them anymore. You'll have a creative infant, when you first find out with a superfood, you studied in lots of it.

And then after a few months, maybe you'll start going on to something else, especially when you start on your healing journey. Because when we start healing, our body realizes, whoa, hang on a minute. Now we're looking for all of the good stuff. So the body starts to direct us into the right places rather than the wrong places. Because too often, we can go for things like fat for example. We can go for fried foods when we're deficient in essential fatty acids.

That's a common thing that we do. So likewise, when we start to get in tune with our bodies, and when we start to clean up our bodies, our bodies will start to tell us exactly what it does when rather than giving us mixed messages and tournaments. He wants fried food just because it wants the essential The acids, of course, there'll be some but it's mainly of the damaged fats is going to have more of a negative effect than actually the essential fatty acids that are taken on board. So it's very important for us to find out where we sit with the ethical arguments around the superfoods. And finding out where where these things are coming from seeing if they're coming from a sustainable source. If they're coming from a sustainable source, then the farmers are also getting paid for well for what they grow in a sustainable, so it's not affected in the environment in a negative way, then, maybe for a short period of time.

It's really good to use some of these superfoods, but that's up to you. Now, we can use local superfoods, looking at what's local to you, and what's the superfood for your area. For example, in Wales metals abundant the end anywhere in the UK. In fact, there's natural as you can find in most walks, if you go in the country sidewalks, you're going to see metals all in the sides. And these are really nutrient dense. And these are our superfoods which are native to us.

So it's looking out for those things which are native to us. And you may even want to look at like a four origin course. Because there's many people out there now which call for origin. And you can go for origin and find the Lord and nutritious foods, just in like Bush's and new waves or when you go on long walks, to add your salads, etc. Because these aren't going to be that damaged because they come in from good soils. They have been overgrown and the song silence and they come in direct from nature.

Blackberries is a good one, isn't it? In the UK, we get blackberries at a certain time of year. And they are highly nutrient dense foods. And those are the fruits that naturally grow in these types of climates that give blackberries. You are As not many other fruits grow well in the UK because of our climate. So we want to be trying our best to gear towards those things that grow naturally in our in our surroundings.

Obviously, there's an abundance of good foods available now but it can be confusing for the body if we're taking on these foods from different countries this summer. In most of these places where these foods are coming from our bodies are in winter and then we put in summer foods on top of it can be a little bit confusing for the system. So we want to be engine as best as we can. I know it's quite difficult in this day and age, but as best as we can take a look at the season, local and seasonal foods and especially the superfoods, looking at maybe doing a course a foraging course and finding where you looking where you can find really good quality superfoods just on your doorstep. For this section, we're just going to highlight a few superfoods Real good quality superfood is maca. maca is extremely high in zinc.

And this is why it's called an aphrodisiac also, so beware not to use too much of it, because it can have a very stimulating effect in that way. But maca on the positive is very concise very high in zinc. And zinc can be depleted from things like alcohol coffee. stimulating foods can tend to deplete zinc and increase copper. Now, when copper increases in the system and zinc depletes, this can cause an addictive. This can cause addictive behaviors.

So when we start to redress the zinc and copper balance within the body, so that the zinc starts to come back to its normal level, then we can start to get on top of things. On top of the addictions, lifelong addictions actually. Many of us weren't breastfed, and sometimes Many times actually, the zinc and copper balance goes out at that time because we're not getting the mother's milk, which is as the right balance of copper and zinc. So then from that point forward, we're fighting to get back with zinc. Zinc has been known for centuries to be a real quality mineral that we need. And elders in tribes, for example, used to eat the testicles of the animals, because they were high in sync.

So it's a really good mineral to help with leadership skills, for example. So that's why they would give that it was a delicacy for the leader of the trade to take the testicles of the animal. Now, I'm not telling you to do that. Of course, we don't advocate doing that over here, but with foods like maca. We can start to increase our zinc levels and get that copper balance ratio back to where It should be already should have been when when we were born and then if we were breastfed for example, and lifestyle in general tends to deplete the zinc levels with us. It's also high B vitamins.

So it's just it is truly a superfood as a vegetable Marquez and it's grown in South America, and maybe some other parts of the country but primarily comes from there. So again, making sure that it's sustainably sourced. And then if we're going to use it just using small quantities because you don't need a lot of maca and you can add it to things like smoothies or even juices. You can add it if you if you cook into chocolates or the cakes, you know if you're making healthy desserts for example, and it's a quality superfood. Moving on next we're going to talk about wheatgrass. wheatgrass is available in abundance everywhere in the UK.

Now why aren't we eating motivate cows eat grass, horses eat grass and a look at the size of the cows and the horses. And they're definitely not nutrient deficient. They're really strong animals now. So we've classes also high in protein. So we want to be getting you getting wheatgrass on board in order to get ultimate health because it's natural to our environment that grows in abundance everywhere. Dr. Brian clemen says the wheat grass has got the most nutrient is the is the most nutrient rich food on our planet.

It's got the most array of nutrients within it. So how do we take wheatgrass onboard with glass you can buy seeds, you can buy packs online now, for wheatgrass you get a tray, you get seeds and you also get so you just mix the seeds into the soil, add water and it starts to grow it you know it's Very simple. So we everybody can do it except to grow your own wheat grass and when it starts to grow to a decent level, you chop into it. But it's three months game and you say, you can even get a juicer you can get wheat grass specific juicers which are better and you'll get the most juice over the wheat grass. A little shorter do with us in the morning to give you a kickstart as the way forward especially in the UK, because it's native to us.

Another real good quality superfood is carb. White carb in particular is very nice, very sweet. But Canada in general is a superfood and it's we can get it relatively local in the UK. I mean it doesn't grow. As far as I know it doesn't come naturally in the UK, but in Europe it does. So we can get it from places and our friends across the water there and in Europe, and it's also very nutrient rich is very common.

This is Then. So especially if we've got like chocolate addictions if we, if we really like chocolate caramel can be a very good one to get that sweet flavor and a little bit of bitterness. And it makes a fantastic substitute for chocolate. And it's actually more common for the system gives a lot of nutrients. And this is a good way to start making making a change to diet because we can make really healthy desserts. We can add it to smoothies, we can add it to juices but better with smoothies actually with carb and start playing with making like raw desserts as well.

Those are filled superfoods. Now there's so many superfoods that are available these days. Do some research on it, and have a look which ones you're most drawn to or most attracted to. And they will probably be the ones that are just right for you right now. So take a look What's out there, find what you're attracted to most and give it a go see how you get on
