Hello and welcome. This is Octavia Brooks shamanic energy healer with a guided visualization called a shamanic journey, where we will address the topic of procrastination and your tendencies towards procrastination. Procrastination happens when there's a deeper level part of us that is resistant to the pathway chosen consciously. So we have our conscious a will, that is being forwarded and with blocks and obstacles from the subconscious. You'll go to do a task or make a list of activities that work towards your primary goal and find yourself distracted in all different kinds of ways. So I'm going to share one or two strategies.
And then we'll go into the journey and heal some of these areas of the subconscious. So that you have a fighting chance to overcome your habits of procrastination and make progress. Once you start making progress towards your goals. You gain momentum. And you gain a solidity in your willpower and your conscious choice. And it makes achieving your goals so much easier.
Procrastination is a really big topic. And today I'm just going to be working with it. These deeper levels primarily, one of the things that all the success greats recommend is to make a list the night before, of what you want to accomplish the next day, prioritize that list and and then my suggest Is to repeat your intentions before you go to sleep. I'm going to wake up feeling refreshed. I'm going to wake up feeling on point tomorrow and on fire about the most important thing I need to get done. And I'm going to do it first thing in the morning so that I can ride the wave of that momentum and success.
Having accomplished one of the more difficult things early in the morning. I'll have energy for the whole rest of the day. So these are things you can say to yourself as you lay down to sleep. And I also recommend saying something similar right when you wake up. These times of the day when we're in that Twilight Zone of sleepiness are really fertile for us to plant seeds in the subconscious that creates the kind of day we want. The other recommendation I have is Throughout the day as you are doing your activities, be very mindful of what you're doing in any given present moment.
And make sure that you are consciously choosing that activity. So for example, you know, you need to get a top priority item done to today and find yourself dancing around that item, doing things, maybe or maybe not even related. We have the classic pitfalls of going into social media or, for me, it's cooking or spending too long in the kitchen playing with food, when really I need to be on my computer and doing something important. The idea here is to catch yourself in the moment. When I was training myself to be more efficient and more effective, I would ask myself What am I doing right now? What am I doing right now?
I'd ask myself that question all day long. And keep in mind the top goal, am I doing anything related to that top goal? When am I going to go and do the thing related? Okay, just need to eat, get some blood sugar and then I then very next thing I'm doing is getting back into that goal. The goal is to increase your mindfulness throughout the day, and make sure that you are working actively towards that goal. Another aspect of procrastination is that we spend a lot of time working on things that seem urgent, and they really aren't that important.
There's this sense of urgency about non important tasks. And we want to create urgency about the most important tasks, get them done, and then see what else we have. time left to do. That's how you can make progress every single day. And I know when people have a strong tendency towards procrastination, they're also beating themselves up and vilifying themselves whenever they have a less productive day or they find that they're out of energy at the end of the day and didn't get to their top priority for the day. So, procrastination is a need to overcome inertia.
And the inertia is we make it worse whenever we are negative towards ourselves. Any kind of negativity is a heavy heavyweight. So if you want to create the energy of flow, the energy of momentum, the energy of motivation, positivity is essential. If you are kind of upset with yourself about the way you behaved and you went against your own promises to yourself, and we do this all the Time. Forgive yourself in that moment, recover as quickly as you can from being frustrated at yourself and set yourself back on track. Every day is a new day.
Every minute is a new minute. You can make a different choice every day and every minute. Let's go into the shamanic journey now. Find yourself in a comfortable position and take some deep breaths deep into the center of your chest. allow your heart to open. Relax your body.
And now begin imagining that you are in a beautiful natural setting. This may be a place you've been to before or someplace new. You notice the land. Notice the beautiful lighting. Maybe there's a sunset, maybe it's the golden hour. Notice the air on your skin.
Notice that there is some body of water nearby could be a creek or river, a lake, the ocean or maybe even the moisture in the air, but water is present and the earth is solid underneath your feet. Call into this natural setting now an appropriate guide, a spirit guide who could even be your higher self but know that with your intention of resolving your tendencies towards procrastination today the most appropriate I will come in response and they are arriving now. Your Guide now shows you a little pathway that you didn't notice before. And you and your guide now begin walking down this little pathway, enjoying the nature and by and by you arrive at a little woods. This is a Woods made of tall sapling trees, tall, thin young trees and as you enter into this woods, you notice the leaves are moving and the sun is flowing through the leaves and displaying beautiful patterns on the forest floor as the trees move gently in the breeze.
You imagine the creatures who live in this forest and how happy they must be continuing to walk through the forest with your guide and noticing how beautiful this natural setting is this beautiful woods. Looking up ahead, now you see a brightness and you imagine, oh, maybe the woods come out into the sunshine. And sure enough you exit the woods and into incredibly beautiful grassy field. This field is filled with bright, colorful flowers, birds and butterflies can sense the life force Energy here as you continue walking down the path through the tall grass and you may reach your hand out and touch the tall grass as you pass by. Looking down towards the end of this field, you notice an amazing ornate building. This building is so gigantic, you cannot possibly see where it goes to the left or to the right or into this air.
It stretches up Hi, hi hi. above you. New guide smiles and leads you down the pathway through the grassy field towards this majestic, ornate building. He arrived No at the staircase leading up to the terrorists and begin climbing the stairs and arriving on the terrorists. And as you do incredibly giant or Nate doors silently open you and your guide now walk through the doors and find yourself in the central chamber of the temple without boundaries. Here in the central chamber, everything is so beautifully decorated from walls to the floors to high up the walls where you can't quite see the ceiling everything is elaborately decorated with altars and statues and all manner of sacred tools and items from throughout all time, space and dimension.
All lineages, cultures, traditions and religions. You notice here in the central chamber are several main altars that relate to the four elements, earth, air, fire and water. And there is a fifth altar. Go now to one of these altars that seems to be calling you at this altar. As you arrive, you're greeted by a beautiful helper being who tends to this particular altar and as you see the office altar. There are beautiful items and implements and tools sitting on this altar.
The helper being at your altar gestures to you to choose one or more of the items on this altar and they may be able to assist you either in this journey or in your life. Collect now these gifts and it could be the tour guide who is with you there may need to help you carry them with you on the journey. Giving thanks and expressing gratitude to this beautiful helper being your guide and now leads you to a very good ticular door in the central chamber on this door is the symbol of Hummingbird. opening this door, do you begin immediately to hear a humming sound, which you recognize as the sound of a hummingbird's wings beating as you enter this chamber with soft lighting you notice that there is not just a one Hummingbird but many, many, many hummingbirds here and they're very happy because all around the walls all over this chamber are the most beautiful flowers.
And the hummingbirds very happily tend to the flowers, lick up the nectar and commune with each other and their own special Hummingbird community. Guide leads you to a central location where you can take in the view of all the hummingbirds doing their thing and your guide sends out a call the hummingbirds Now, notice you and your guide in the center of the room. You can see them begin to come around you Some of them come up close and then buzz away. They are projecting a sense of curiosity towards you. Your Guide instructs you to drop into your heart even further and Take another deep breath. As exciting as it is to be surrounded by the hummingbirds.
Your Guide mentions that you can bring them closer if you practice surrendering in this moment and this does indeed allow the hummingbirds to come closer towards you. Notice that one of the hummingbirds has A little something in its beak. And it comes so close that it actually touches you with its beak. And the item that it had in its beak melts into you. This is very puzzling. But you notice an increased sense of well being, as that piece of you is returned.
Several other hummingbirds approach with little bits in their beaks that they come and plant on your body. Notice now, if there are more parts of you being visited by the hummingbirds. Maybe it's in your heart area. Maybe it's in your hands or your throat For now, just notice if there are particular areas that are being more attended to by the hummingbirds. As you see these pieces of you are returned by the magic of the hummingbirds. Your sense of well being continues to increase.
You were completely unaware that all of these little bits of you had gotten scattered from all of your activities throughout your entire life. These were just very small pieces of you that wandered off and dissociated and create the symptom of feeling unfocused and scattered. So as each of these pieces of you are collected by the blessitt hummingbirds and returned to you, the fabric of yourself is woven together. In wholeness, you become a stronger cloth. Many, many, many of these little pieces are returning to you now. And there is a frenzy of activity of all the hummingbirds visiting and weaving in these pieces to you.
Now that they know that you know what this activity is all about. Continue to surrender and allow the hummingbirds to bring all of you back to you. Breathe deeply and receive yourself. The hummingbirds are slowing down now feeling that most of your little pieces that they were able to find and collect for you have been redelivered and re integrated back into you. And now they perform something different. They're starting to fly in a circular formation around you.
And as they fly in this circular formation faster and faster and faster, they create a centrifugal force. In this centrifugal Force begins to help you to feel centered and focused. All these little pieces of you coming into wholeness and being guided by a central force inside you, the eye of the storm, your own column of light that goes from head to toe through the center of your body, being strengthened by this centrifugal force created by the hummingbirds flying faster and faster and faster around you. Feel and notice a sense of focus developing inside you. Welcome and enjoy this sense of focus. Feel your mind solidifying.
Feel your conscious awareness of your top priorities focusing and solidifying inside you. Thanks to the gifts of the hummingbird. sensing that your solidification is coming to fruition, the hummingbirds begin to slow down their circular flight pattern around you. And now they begin to move in a playful dance celebrating your wholeness, celebrating her focus is a moment of mutual appreciation, and even love. You may choose to outstretched your arms now and receive the hummingbirds. Sitting on your body loving and appreciating that you came to this them to allow them to fulfill their spiritual purpose with you.
Drink in this mutual love and appreciation, a special moment for you to be surrounded by these fabulous powerful little birds. Your Guide enjoys this scenario as well and begins to make you aware that we'll be returning back to the central chamber. Giving thanks and expressing your gratitude to all of the beautiful birds. They begin to return one by one, back to their flowers, their joyful communion with each other and community and you and your guide now walk over towards the door. And exit the humming chamber. And as you exit your drink in the sound of their wings one more time and exit now back out into the central chamber of the temple without boundaries.
Stepping forward towards one of the altars, you notice a mirror there, step in front of this mirror and see your reflection. Notice how you've changed as a result of this time, with the hummingbirds. Take a look directly into your eyes and with love in your heart. Give yourself a moment to create an intention, goal that you would like to achieve and looking directly in your eyes with love. Acknowledge to yourself that this goal is already achieved. You're well on the path of achieving this goal.
And all of your forces are solidified in alignment towards achieving this goal and you may wish to pull out one of the gifts that you received at the beginning of the journey. If any of those are appropriate in this moment to seal this promise that you're making to yourself here in sacred space being witnessed by all of the powerful guides here. A second promise to make is that you will find all of the support you need to fulfill this goal with the easiest and most graceful approach, you will find that you have achieved this goal and it was much easier than you ever thought possible. Knowing and anticipating how this is going to work drop into your gratitude and appreciation of having found a new way of doing things. Your Guide comes and joins you in the mirror and gives you a hug celebrates with you, your new self with a new approach to achieving what you will to achieving your most important conscious goals and choices.
Completing your discussion in the mirror now. Walking with your guide through the altars And back over to the doors of the temple, which are already beginning to silently open. Turn one last time and give thanks to the temple without boundaries for providing this beautiful experience today. Exit now out onto the terrorists. And as you walk down the front steps, with the doors silently closing behind you looking out over the grassy field, you could swear that there's even more vibrancy here. Even more birds, and even some hummingbirds winking at you, along with many butterflies and even more flowers than you could possibly Imagine enjoy touching the grass and hearing the birds sing as you walk through the grassy field on the little pathway that leads back to the sapling forest.
Entering now into the shaded forest. Once again, you feel the creatures in this forest, however in a new way you feel that you can send your love to these creatures and that they respond with love and joy from your acknowledgement. As you walk through the woods, being aware that you are surrounded by love and supportive helper Enjoy this natural setting as you find yourself with your guide now exiting the woods, walking down the little pathway to your natural starting place. coming to rest here. Give thanks to your guide for being the perfect helper today on this journey. Allow them to return now where they normally live knowing that they are always available anytime you should need them.
Feel the solid ground underneath your feet. Notice the body of water Feel the slight breeze on your skin and the beautiful lighting saying thank you for this experience. Begin to bring yourself back into your room. Take a sip of water, pat down your body come all the way back. And you may wish to take a couple notes about what you learned today.
