Hey, welcome back to build winning courses. This is step six activities and we are on lesson four simulation. simulation is usually reserved for environments like manufacturing, or construction, or computer use, learn how to use computer application. Sometimes it's reserved also for demonstrating changes in social skills, or practicing social skills. So that a person has the opportunity to practice in an environment where failure or mistakes are not so costly. If they've achieved it, it's a great environment to show and strengthen one's skills.
If they're still learning it, it's a great way to continue mastering that skill. It's hard to do in elearning courses. So when you think about a demonstration kitchen, or when you think about a lab where you can mimic every interaction between humans and machines, or when you think about a dummy database, or a ghost copy of an application that you can use on another machine so you can test it without hurting the data. That's a form of it. simulation. chances are you won't use them in your online learning but they're good to know about in case you should need them for an instructor led series.
See you in the next session.
