Lesson eight, plant like there's no tomorrow. This is one of my favorite lessons. My good friend Ron heck was a farmer. He'd say, you know, Scott, you have to plant seeds before you get to reap the harvest. Well, I've heard that one before. But he went on to say something I had not ever heard.

If you want corn, you got to plant corn you can't so beans and expect to reap corn want radishes? Can't plant pumpkin seeds. If you plant a watermelon seed, you're not going to get tomatoes. Well, that just makes sense now, doesn't it? If you want to be successful in life, you must plant seeds of success in your mind. You can't plant seeds of failure in your mind and expect to get success.

In the book Psycho Cybernetics by Dr. Maxwell maltz says it this way, Amanda Not simply find success or come to failure. He carries their seeds around in his personality and character. You are carrying seeds of something around with you all the time and these seeds will grow and you will reap some kind of harvest. What kind of seeds are you sowing? The good news is you get to choose. I love that part.

You get to choose, you need to plant like there's no tomorrow, but make sure you're planting seeds of success. You will reap whatever you sow. Ever notice that some people don't plan anything positive but expect great things to happen in their lives. That's silly, isn't it? They want to plant corn and expect to reap beans and that just doesn't make sense. You can't sow seeds of failure and frustration and expect to reap the harvest of success just doesn't work that way.

As a parent, one of our greatest responsibilities is to plant positive seeds in the lives of our children. Parents, be careful because it just doesn't matter if you believe it or not, it matters not. You will reap what you sow. Now, I want you to think about this when our children are tiny. We are amazing planters, aren't we? Somewhere around nine or 10 months after our children are born, they begin learning to walk.

We plant one seed of encouragement after another no matter the outcome. Come on, you can do it. Come to daddy or Come to mommy. No matter how many times your child falls down. You continue to encourage your little baby. Come on, come on.

You can do it all Did you see that? He almost made it. Get up. Yes, you can. Yes, you can get up and Come to daddy. You stick out your loving arms and you keep planting seeds over and over again.

And eventually they take their first step. And you are the single proudest parent on the planet. You'll tell everybody. Heck you send a video to family and friends. You put it on YouTube. You planted so many seeds of encouraged In your child, have you ever heard anybody plant negative seeds in a baby learning to walk?

Did you see that this kid will never learn to walk? Hi, I'm so done with him. He can't even learn to put one foot in front of the other. He's already 10 months old, and he can't even walk. That's just ridiculous. I've never heard anybody do that.

We plant positive seeds when our kids are tiny, but sadly, that often changes. When you want to be successful in life, you must plant positive seeds, so you can reap a positive harvest. start planting in your own mind today. It makes no sense to wait. The longer you wait the plant, the longer you have to wait to reap the harvest. But this is really important in network marketing.

You must also plant seeds of success in others to become truly successful in network marketing. And I want you to be a huge planter I want you to plant like there's no tomorrow and keep planting no matter The outcome that's hard to do. When you want an outcome right away, you want to make money right away and you got to have it right away. Think long term, do not think short term, because you have no control over what happens to the seed after you plan it. But you got to plant seeds anyway. Hank Haney a golf coach says it this way.

My feeling was you plant some seeds if they grow great. If they don't, you don't take it personally. It's not my problem. I just keep planning, just like a farmer. plant those seeds if they grow great if they don't, do not take it personally. Wow, there is some serious wisdom in that quote, in network marketing.

You just keep on planting. I want to tell you a story about a guy who was driving a school bus and one time he was a failure. Those are his words. His wife's words, his son was so embarrassed because he was supposed to ride the school bus that his dad was driving. He was so embarrassed that he found another way to get to school. That school bus driver stayed at it in network marketing, and stayed at it.

And he finally found somebody who got serious and made a little bit of money. And then he found another person, another year or two later, who got serious about network marketing. I know, because I'm that guy. Guess what happened? His income grew to over $300,000 a year. That guy had never made $20,000 a year in his life on a job.

But he kept planting seeds and planting seeds. Did people make fun of him? You bet. They did. Did people say, this isn't gonna work? What's wrong with you?

Why don't you just get a job? Of course they did. He was rejected on a daily basis. Oh, and get this, he didn't have a car. So he took the city bus. And sometimes he would take the city bus and meet with somebody or think he was going to meet with somebody.

They scheduled the appointment, he took the city bus as many buses as it took to get from one location to another, and he would show up, and that person wouldn't be there. But he just kept planting seeds and planting seeds and planting seeds and a guy who'd never made $20,000 a year on a job was making $300,000 a year in network marketing. You see, what I'm telling you right now is my own personal seed planting process. Now some people are going to I'm planting seeds in you right now in this video. Some people have paid their money, and they watched one training. And that's it.

And they may think, well, this is not worth it. I don't care for what this guy has to say. And they may never watch another video. If you're familiar with the parable of the sower and the seed, those people are like the seed that the birds get. Some people will be like, the seed that falls on the rocks, they start to believe, but they don't make it all the way. And they just never take root.

Others get excited, but don't do all the things that we're teaching. They'll join a business start to grow that business, but run into somebody who tells them it's a scam and they quit. It's really hard. When you recruit that person. You get excited for them and honestly for you, because that person got off to a good start. They started talking to people, but then what happens is, somebody tells them it's a scam, they quit.

You can't take that personally because you didn't quit, they quit. We care way too much about what other people say think and do those people that start get told that it's a scam or that it won't work and quit. Those people are just like the seeds that fall among the weeds or the thorns, those awful weeds are going to get some. That's just the way it is. The birds are going to get some, the rocks are going to get some and the weeds will get some. And there's nothing you can do about it.

That's just the way it is. There's nothing you can do about it. So don't think about it. You just got to learn to accept it because you're not going to change it. My friend the school bus driver kept planting seeds and planting seeds. And it took him I don't remember how many years took him quite a while to get to $300,000 a year but let me ask you a question.

Do you think that really matters. It took him a few years to get to $300,000 A year 25,000 a month, more money than he made in any job he'd ever had in a year he was making in a month. You see, it doesn't matter what you say or what you do. Other people do whatever they want with the information you share with them. However you talk to them about your network marketing business, however you talk to them, it's up to them. In the past, I even paid for people to join my business.

I made every mistake you can make. I paid for people to attend conventions. This is one of my favorite things. I paid hundreds of dollars for a guy to attend a convention in the same town where I lived and where he lived from the convention facility to his house less than five miles. He knew I had to spend hundreds of dollars for the registration at the last minute for him to go He didn't even attend one session. I could have just given up.

But I planted the seed. He chose not to do anything with it. Heck, I even built a business for a family member. I built a business a check for a family member, but the birds, the rocks and the weeds got to me anyway, that's just the way it is. Don't waste your time asking why it happens. Don't be discouraged, because other people give up.

What does that have to do with you, that's just the way it is. And you're not going to change it. Now, that's all kind of depressing. But here's the good news. Some of the seeds are going to take root, some of the seeds are going to take root and they will flourish and they will grow like crazy. And there's nothing you can do to stop them from growing because they get it.

You planted the seed. They get it and they want Success in their life. You don't get paid when the birds, the rocks and the weeds get them. But it doesn't matter, because you can make a fortune from the few that flourish. Some people waste time trying to convince the ones that the birds, the rocks and the weeds get. What they do is they say, oh, but you've got to come back.

This is such a great business. what they should be doing is planting more seeds. It's a whole lot easier to give birth than it is to raise the dead hospitals are full with newborn babies. I don't know of that many people that came back from the dead, not for a very long time. If you were to start judging, every single day, by the number of seeds that you plant, how would you feel? You see you can plant seeds in your own mind that counts.

You can plant seeds of success and others too. Are you planting like there's no tomorrow? Now this video is my own personal planting process. I'm going to get some people to get it and go to work. And that's great. But I know that in addition to the birds, the rocks and the weeds, some people are just not going to stick with it.

And that's okay. You're going to recruit somebody that somebody else wanted to get, it's going to happen and the opposite is going to happen. You're not going to talk to one of your friends, and somebody else will talk to them about your business. And they're going to join with somebody else, even if they're your best friend. That's okay. There's enough for everybody.

Just keep planting seeds. Some people are going to decide to join a business after they watched the video or whatever tool you use to talk to them and that's okay too. There's enough for everybody to change their lives. What you need to be concerned about is what you can control. What can you control, plant seeds in your own life and you You can plant seeds in the lives of others. But you cannot.

You can't do anything about what they choose to do with the information you share with them. You plant because it's the right thing to do. You plant because some day, just like I want it to reap a great harvest. Someday you want to reap a plentiful harvest, no matter what happens. You just have to keep on planting, just like a farmer. Now, let me say one final thing in this session on what happens.

You plant the seeds, and you don't care what happens. Did you catch that? plant the seeds. Don't care what happens when you get so fully invested into what Bob is going to do after you talk to Bob about your business. If Bob doesn't join your business, you're devastated if Bob tells you that it's a scam. You may quit your business.

Guess what? It doesn't matter what Bob says. It doesn't matter what Bob thinks. It doesn't matter what Bob does. Now, here's a tip. If you plant very few seeds, every seed is really important.

Okay? If you talk to two people in a month, man, you got to have both of those people join your business, or nothing happened in your business that month, right? Don't plant two seeds a month, plant two seeds a day, then you care less and less about what each person chooses to do in their life. And guess what? You can't act devastated. When somebody says no, you plant the seeds.

And if they say, you know what, Scott, this is not right for me go Hey, no problem. I just wanted to share the opportunity with you. Because when I'm making $100,000 a year, I didn't want you to come to me and go Hey, Scott. I thought we were friends. How come you didn't tell me about this business that you're in? When you react that way?

Some people will say, Now wait a minute, maybe I misjudged this thing. Most of them won't, but who cares? Don't care about what every single person says, or what they think or what they do. Plant more seeds. Plant like there's no tomorrow. Just like a farmer.

You will reap what you sow. And if you sow very little, you will reap very little. If anything, plant a lot of seeds. Keep planting. Stay positive, stay focused on what you want, not on what you don't want. Keep planning.
