Lesson 14, you must believe in your company. Network Marketing gives all of us an opportunity that we simply cannot get anywhere else. If you don't believe in network marketing, you have no chance at success whatsoever. Now, once you realize this is a great industry or profession, then you can move on to belief in your company, which is also vitally important. And here's why belief in your company is so important. People are going to say bad stuff about the company, no matter what.
And there's nothing you can do to stop them. It's coming. I promise you, it's coming. And now you know it's coming. So be prepared. Let me tell you what I heard about that company.
Oh, the products are no good at all. That comp plan is terrible. The company is going out of business. The products are overpriced. I was in that company and you can't make any money. Are you crazy?
They have the worst management in the history. Three of network marketing. We're just getting warmed up here. People will say some crazy stuff. And it doesn't matter if it's true or not. You must believe in your company or you will not become successful.
It is as simple as that. So how do you build belief in your company? Well, my answer has evolved through the years. Many years ago, I would tell people, read all the literature every brochure, attend meetings, ask questions, and participate in webinars, conference calls, talk with as many successful people as you can, and immerse yourself in this new culture will chalk that up as yet another mistake? I don't know about you. But I'm amazed I ever made any money as silly as I was.
And here's why all that stuff is wrong. It takes too much time. You invested money to start a new business right? Chances are somebody has already questioned your intelligence based on that investment. You did what they may have even called You stupid, and I hate that. But it might have already happened.
They might have told you that you are the victim of a scam and you might be feeling bad already showing them a brochure isn't gonna do a darn thing to help you telling them that you went to a meeting and met other people who are making money will in their eyes make you look even more like a fool because you fell for that pitch. You want to know the best way you can build belief in your company right now. Make Money, get a check or get two or three checks, get a return on your investment make more money than you invest it. It does some amazing things for your belief system. And it can sometimes get any doubters you have off your back. Scott, I cannot believe you fell for that scam.
That's a pyramid scheme and nobody ever makes any money in those network marketing businesses. Don't you know With that, what do you think they're going to say? When you tell them you made 1500 dollars in three weeks or 20 $200 in your first month? Well, they're going to say, then get in a money making mode to build your belief. There's no better way to build belief than making money. You can build belief by going to meetings, reading the company, brochures, websites, meeting people that works.
But it very often takes too much time you got in business to make money. So make money. You did not get into a business to read brochures or get on webinars or look at a website. What's a money making mode? And how do you get in one, we'll do the things that generate money in your business and forget everything else or at the very least, do the everything else stuff later, after you've made money. Now I want you to listen carefully.
Find that person in your upline who's successful, who will share with you and I do Get some people who say to me, Well, Scott, I can't find anybody. I'm telling you, you keep going, you keep going as far as you have to go to find somebody who is making money right now, who will share and you just say to him, what's the money making mode? I want to make money. I want to make money now, forget all that other stuff. I want to focus on making money. What do I do?
Robert Kiyosaki, author and professional speaker says, the richest people in the world look for and build networks. Everyone else looks for work. Obviously, Robert Kiyosaki is a huge fan of network marketing. And I'll never forget the time I heard him speak in person. He was awesome. He is all about making money and becoming successful.
I know for a fact he believes in having a plan and taking action. You see, the only way you make money in any network marketing business is by taking action. This is a lesson I had to learn learn the hard way. Never forget that I'm the guy who didn't take action. I'm the guy who made every mistake you can possibly make. I joined one company, and then I had to study everything before I could talk to anybody.
I didn't want to look stupid. I had to know the answer to every possible question. Here's a shocker for you. I didn't make any money in that business. Surprise, surprise. In that business.
I suffered from paralysis by analysis. It's a fatal disease that affects millions of network marketers every year. I'm just kidding. Or am I? Nobody actually dies from paralysis by analysis, but your business will die from it. During my next horrible attempt at being a successful network marketer, I suffered from the secret syndrome.
This is one of my favorites. I never did anything. Because I was always busy looking for the secret. There's got to be a secret that only the successful people know. I know I need to do if I can make friends with one of those successful people who are always on stage at convention, maybe they'll tell me the secret. Well, guess what?
They won't tell you the secret because there is no secret, take action and get paid. I love these words from Pablo Picasso. Action is the foundational key to all success. Sometimes instead of working their businesses, people get busy cleaning their office, setting up their file, searching on the internet, going to the library, buying a new computer, getting a new phone line creating a new website. They do everything but they never get into money making mode. Oh, yeah, and all that stuff.
The reason I know to say that to you, I've done it. I don't know what the money making mode is for your business right now. But somebody who is making money can tell you exactly what it is. And you should not settle until you find out who that person is, and say I want to be in Money Making mode I want to take action. I want to get paid when you're in a money making mode, you will get paid. And isn't that exactly why you started this business?
You want to get paid, you should get paid but you don't get paid. Just because you started a business. You must take action to get paid. When you're suffering from paralysis by analysis, you get nothing zero, zilch. Nada. When you're searching for the secret, you get nothing zero, zilch.
Nada. When you're cleaning your office and buying a new computer, you get nothing. Zero, zilch, nada. When you're in a money making mode, you are elated with your decision to start this new network marketing business. You're getting paid, you're making money. When you're suffering from paralysis by analysis or searching for the secret or cleaning your office.
You're actually disgusted with your decision to start a network marketing business because you weren't making any money. Get in a money making mode and you'll get closer to your dreams, all the other stuff takes you farther and farther away from your dreams. The sad thing is that most network marketers will never know the difference. Never ever know the difference between the money making mode and all that other stuff. When they fail, they will never look in the mirror. Network Marketing.
Oh yeah, I tried that doesn't work. When you are in a money making mode, you are taking the action needed to make money. It's a simple concept. Most people never do it. Dale Carnegie had this to say about taking action. And it's as if he'd been around a bunch of network marketers when he said it.
Inaction breeds doubt and fear. Action breeds confidence and courage. If you want to conquer fear, do not sit home and think about it. Go out and get busy. Now if he really knew network Marketing. He'd say, get in a money making mode.
When you're cleaning your desk or memorizing a presentation, your inaction causes you to become even more fearful than you already are. And then when you're fearful, it gets worse. It doesn't get better. What if they? What if they don't like it? What if they make fun of me?
The only way you will ever overcome that fear is to start talking to people about your company and your products. Action is the only way. Find out what a money making mode is. Find the person if you haven't already found them. That will teach you the action you need to take and take it now. Take action now.
