So you have done a decluttering, you have decided about those difficult items. And now the question is, what do you do with them. And that's something that we run into a lot. Once we that we have done the decluttering, we have a lot of unwanted items that you may not no longer need. And then they need to leave your space because if we don't facilitate that process, and they stay in your space, you are not solving the problem of doing the decluttering, right, because they are still taken out of space. So what do you do with them?

In our case, we always bring a trailer or a truck, and then every time you are making decisions about something that you no longer need, we will remove it from the space right away. That's what we normally do. If the client has a garage, or they have a basement or they have access to a track, we will put it wherever it's more convenient for them. But we normally try to facilitate that taking it to wherever he goes. And then working items go we use a few hours. Depending on where you live, you can use different avenues.

In our case we have access to thrift stores, we can donate these items to our thrift store, a secondhand store, and then they can resell them. Some thrift stores are associated with our NGO or with a really good cause someone that is our business, but at least you are not taking things to the landfill. We don't want to see things going to the landfill. And let me tell you that a lot of the clients the anxiety that they are feeling, they are excited that you may be feeling about the items that you know, you have to let go. He said you don't want to see them going to waste. You don't want to see them going to the landfill.

You want someone else to use them. So that's why donating them to these are secondhand stores is a great option. Option number two is some items they still have value. So we can use an auction company. locally here we leave we have access to a few of them. Some companies will come to the house will take forever And then they will sell it online.

And then they will facilitate the process of people coming to see the item, and people coming to collect the items. And other companies, you can take the things to their place, and then they will catalog them there. And then so you are removing them from your space. It depends on your situation. If you have the space and the time, they can come to your house. If you don't, then you can remove them there.

I know that option. If you are expecting money, a significant amount of money from an item, the best way is to private sale. Why? Because you will get the most amount of money when you are doing auction. The reality is that you never know who is looking at that auction. Things can go for $1 or they can go for $1,000.

You have no idea. So if you have expectations about your things, you have to make sure that you are private setting yourself. How do you do that? Again, depending on where you live, you will have access to websites like eBay in our case have access to Kijiji let go. There are a lot of different platforms that you can use to sell your items. Now you can use Facebook marketplace, you name it, there are a lot of them.

Okay, so again, Completion, if you are expecting money for your items, private sale is the first option. Second option is running an auction. And the third option, if you're not expecting money from them is just donating them. Another option that you can use is called free cycle. Free cycle is an international website. And it's present in a lot of countries.

I personally have used it in New Zealand, in Spain and in Canada. And it's great because people who need items they posted there, and if you have something that you don't need, you post it on the website, and then people will come to your house for free and they will remove it. So that's another great option for you to see your items going to a new home. And if you don't have access to transportation, that's a really good solution for you. And then the last resource I wanted to share with you is, every community, there is always something happening in the community pretty amazing like program. So in our case, we have the Humane Society.

And they have a lot of like dogs and cats and animals. So they are always in need for blankets, sheets, and shredding. So that's one thing that you can keep in mind. We have shelters, we have schools, so we have a lot of programs around us. And if you are aware of them, they are always looking for things. That's something that you can always give your things to those places that need them.

Also family and friends. You can find probably a good friend or a good family member that can use that. So maybe just put it out in your circle, family and friends circle and then maybe someone wants it and they are even willing to come and get it for you. So all these things are great if you can do them in advance before getting a with a decluttering session. If there are things that you know for sure that they are living, try to arrange those things to happen as soon as possible. Okay, and that's, I think Forget anyone if I did, please comment below and we will add it in the next update of the course.

So I hope you enjoyed this video and see you in the next one.
