Hello, and welcome to the lecture on the frequently asked question, can hypnotherapy help my health? So I've gotten this question quite a bit over the years. And so when someone asked me, can hypnotherapy actually help my health? The answer I usually give them is maybe. And the reason it's maybe, is that when people have difficulties in their life just about all of us, it falls into three basic categories and that's essentially help love and money and the subconscious components contributing that there are four different levels of intelligence, which include the physical intelligence, mental intelligence, emotional intelligence and spiritual intelligence. And hypnotherapy primarily deals with the emotional and spiritual intelligence of the human being.
So when someone gets physically ill and they want to recover. What I recommend is that they do everything so I work in the cancer, you know, with people, people were coming to me who had cancer, they'd already had surgery. They were doing radiation treatment, and they think they've already started on their chemotherapy treatment. And so, you know, I always recommended them to do everything possible to stick with your treatment plan that you have with your physician. But don't forget to add hypnotherapy to your treatment plan because there may be a subconscious component that is contributing to your physical illness and if there is it's certainly want to deal with that. And so hypnotherapy if there is a subconscious contributing component to it, that can actually help accelerate your healing process and you know, help you get well sooner rather than later.
So hypnotherapy can help in some instances. So kind of on a sideline I'd like to mention the long term benefits of meditation. So scientific research is telling us that our lives can be benefited through meditation in areas that will help us reduce stress. regulate our heartbeats and our emotions, increase our emotional intelligence, stimulate our immune system and so the aging process and so that's all great and hypnotherapy is part of that. However, when someone comes to see you in hypnotherapy, they're thinking more short term. So they're thinking, how much do I have to pay?
How many sessions Do I need to get better? And so, although hypnotherapy p does provide benefits in those areas, those long term benefits come with regular practice of meditation, which is usually outside of the scope of the short term focus of hypnotherapy sessions. So that kind of falls back on, what do I need to do to get better physically do everything including hypnotherapy? So that's it for that question. So let's move on to the next. I'll see you there.
