Hello, and welcome to the lecture on working from a trance state. Back when I was beginning in hypnotherapy, one thing that I naturally gravitated toward was going into a trance state myself while working with my clients, and so what I noticed that when I did that is that my sessions became much more effective. And so what I didn't know at the time, what I learned later is that working from a trance state like that as you're kind of leaving hypnotherapy behind, and you'll go into the world of energy healing, and so I wouldn't recommend doing this. Initially, I really recommend that you get your techniques down, you get to know how to take people in and out of a relaxed meditative state you you know how to implement all your different techniques and you're kind of become very familiar with it. And then If you want to up your game another notch, start going into a relaxed state with your clients.
And so before you do that, you want to make sure you're really well protected. And then you kind of have to do it with sort of one eye open and one eye closed, which means you're going to go into this relaxed or altered state of consciousness with your client, but you have to be aware enough where you can actually conduct the session. And so what happens when you do that is that you'll create this space. And that's the only thing I can think of really calling it's called, we call it holding space. And so in my mind's eye, it looks like a bubble, or just an energy field that's wide open. And so when that energy field is open, like that, what you can actually do is you can call it divine presence or the healing presence, university, whatever you want.
And then at that point, you turn it over to that presence and let it do the healing work because that is actually what the healing work does. So when you work in a trance state, you're actually inviting a third party. I'm not going to cover that a lot in this course. That's certainly another Course sometime down the future. So see it the next lecture
