I want you to be honest with me for a moment. Do you have scales in your bathroom? If the answer is yes, after this video, I want you to be absolutely and completely radical and I want you to go into your bathroom and get rid of them. Take a hammer to them, put them out in the beam, whatever you do, do not keep those scales in your bathroom. One of the greatest fees of those of us that keep up diets is that we are going to lose control of our weight. We are going to end up heavier than we were we are going to end up miserable and we're going to have nothing to control that.

Nothing to stop that from happening. You know, if we don't have the scales, we're not going to be able to get on and say Ah ha ha you know, Pixies. I would wait cup in the morning. And I would feel really good. Because my diet was going well, everything was fine. I would stand on those scales.

And I may have been up point two of the kilos. My day was, you know, started much worse because of that my mood would be down, I'd be extra focused on the food that I was consuming that day, all in an effort to get that number down. At my worst point, I was standing on those scales multiple times a day, before away after way after breakfast after lunch after dinner. It was, you know, it really ruined my life. And it wasn't until my kids started getting up in the morning. And the first thing that they would do is come into my bathroom and stand on the scales.

And they would compare each other's numbers. They would you know, if the numbers beheading Christ, they would talk about that. And I was like, What are you guys doing? They're not be you get off the scales. They're not for you. And I had this moment where I could see myself in them.

And I thought, How can I be a great example to them? If I am promoting this box that all it does is measure your gravitational pull of the earth. I'm promoting this is something that that's so important to me. How can I expect them not to buy into that? And so I stopped do this scales can't weigh awesome. If those scales told you every morning, you are amazing.

You are on top of things you are doing so well at life. You are going to have a fantastic day today then yeah, let's keep the scales but I don't say that. They tell you, you are still stuck in diet culture. The only time I use scales now is when I'm weighing Basha for a cake that I'm making with the kids. Other than that scales have no place in our lives, things that make us feel less good about ourselves, things that make us compare ourselves to other people. There's an incredible graphic that that you can see in the course book, where you have six people who all weigh the same, but they look totally different.

There is no way you know, don't judge yourself on that stupid scale, the BMI scale. That is such an antiquated device. You are so much more than your wage. You are so much more than a number. So get rid of the scales. I dare you to do it.
