So before we get going, we need to record the status of our local ranking. Now, if we have a brand new website, it's not going to have much ranking. But we need to still record we need to have a benchmark, we need to have a place where we can measure everything from now on. And we can measure how that is actually going to work. So we're going to look at how to set up Google Analytics, how to check your domain authority, how to check your page authority, how to check your trust flow, and check your local ranking. And what we're going to do with all of these things is we need to create a simple spreadsheet.
So I suggest you pause now, create a simple spreadsheet and all you need on that spreadsheet is column for Google Analytics, comm for domain authority page, very trustful and local ranking. You need to create a very simple spreadsheet with that data on at the beginning of your project because we need to be able to measure everything we're doing. There's no point going through this course and not measuring because sometimes when you're doing this type of work, it doesn't look like much is happening. On the surface, but what we can actually do is start to track now how often should we track we want to track if you are working on behalf of a third party client. So if you're a local marketing consultant, you're taking this course, you probably want to check once a week, these statistics and once you get into the flow, they're very quick.
If it's your own business just once a month, but do check it once a month, make sure that your rankings are continually improving. We need to measure and we need to test so that we can improve
