Hi, welcome back. This is week 11 of guitar lessons in the music coach program. This week we're going to start putting together more of our pieces, you're going to be playing the chords for both the A section and B section, and the melody for both the A section and B section. Now the entire form of the song will always be a, b, b, so they'll always be a BB. Now there's a little thing in the chords that's a bit different than what we've practiced. At the end of the second a, you're going to play three g chords and then a stop.
And this is the thing that gives us our space for the pickup melody to go into B. So I'm going to play the A section two twice with this new part so you can hear it early enough. CG a second time, we're gonna play a minor. See, here comes the new part, then we're gonna play 123 and stop. Now to do a stop, you can do what's called the palm stop, you take your right hand, and you can either play it with your thumb over like this, or you can turn your hand and play with the beefy part of the back of your hand to stop the strings. And this space is what allows the melody to take us into the next part.
Now at the end of the second B, we're also going to play a G chord, the very last time to end the song. So here's the beast section with our new part at the end is the first. The second being we'll just let that G chord ring out at the end. You're also going to be playing the A section melody twice and the B section melody twice. And this is getting you ready to go to play music with other people are playing the jam room with the virtual band. At first playing a melody completely on your own can feel a little bit like you're on a high wire with no net.
I want you to just stick with it. It's amazing Feeling to feel a little bit exposed when you're the only person playing the melody but it's a really good way to get command over it and have a lot of confidence. So try it many times with the practice video to feel really comfortable like you can do it. Alright, great work and we'll see in the practice video
