Hello everyone. In this lecture, we are talking about level adding level in building is a very important features in Revit or that is, for bigness to start any project, we have to first level level is one of the primary organization in Revit project, they all have to return mine. All the important heights are in building, they can be in positive or negative direction and they don't mind the important value in them in their direction. So, it's very common to level at each story of building. So, you have on elevator or somewhere else level that we can also use level for other purpose. Just an important is that heights that you want to establish in your building.

Whether it's a bottom of foundation, or top of each condition or a parapet heights or something like that, in this movie, we're going to go ahead and certain level in our project simple file based on default metrics. And you can actually work with Revit, floorplan view, you have actually go to the vertical view of elevator or the N sections, default templates including several elevators, okay, so this is the so after that, you can start the creating a label, so how you start. So we'll start right now, this is the new default matrix template of architecture. So in this just go to the level level one first, find these two levels are already created that you see level one and level two, how other levels are created. So you have to first go to the south elevation Fine in the south elevation, you can see that there are two levels that are already exist.

For the construction default metrics template, I told you about that there are more levels that are already created according to the template. So in a simple default metrics template, these are the only two levels level one and level two are created. Fine. In this level one, you can see the the A, this is the 00 and this is at the 4000 mm. Okay, so it's the values are written in this levels. And when you go to the level one, you can see that you can change the level name here.

If you click one time, then you can change the label name also, here. It's really written here. can change its value by clicking one time only. And you can see there is one box circle box that indicates that this this is level one. And there is a squiggly grip. You see that?

Yes, this is squiggly, right? Fine, are visible I think. So this is a squiggly grip, if you click it, so, it will just turn at that angle fine. And you can change this position here of level one and you can write it their level one or level two or you can just adjust it like this also, if you want whatever you want, you can add this according to you, fine. So this is this is one of the methods of changing this levels even just go back to the circle. So it will, you can see there is one checkbox here.

If you click it Then you find that this check this box, you can see it's written level one, when you uncheck this box, you can not see this level name. Now we can learn, how can we add some additional level fine. So go to the south elevation first and then go to the south elevation. You see when you go to the architecture tab, when you find that level option here in this ribbon bar and the shortcut, it L L, fine. So just click this level button and you can just put it here at the corner of this and just here it's dimension that are written here. If you want to use the dimension more, suppose if I to the next level that is three 3000 when you click it 3000 this click it 3000 and then you find because a comes at this place okay just roll it to the right hand side and you can see this mark Luma that is the aligned him line this command at this level to this click it one time when you click it one time, can you find that right now, this circle symbol isn't black that shows that this is not complete this is an incomplete when shorts blue, then it will be completed.

When you go to the Modify tab. Suppose this is the modified journey click modified tap or escape good I use escape button two times, then it will out of the command and you see that it will turn in a blue color fine. So now here we add this level at this level three of total debt is 7000 we just for at 4000 level when we add 3000 so it will be 7000. You can see here, this line is not in a proper align. So, I want to align this, so just click it, then you see this blue small arrow, find this blue small arrow, this click it and drag it to this point where this line shows that's look okay. Think So, when you if you want to drag it or you want the line should be small.

So you can take this this circle here just click one time and then drag it just press this the your mouse button, don't get out of the command this drag it, displace it and just drag it where you want to go. Suppose you want to, you want to decrease this length, so you can go there and remove height. So you can find here you can see that level one, level two and level three. Those three lines are going towards the inner sight, right? If you want, if you can see this lock, lock symbol here, if you dislike it, and you find that when you drag this cousin, this line level three, then this is the only line That is in command fine, you can see that if you want to align more three lines, then you have to just I'm willing to bet right now, just click this lock should be on okay when this lock is on, you can when you drag it, so you can increase or decrease the values to both of the levels fine, this is my level three if I want the same is for air for there, this side also the right side also the same, this lock is on it this lock is off, that same command is showing fine.

Okay, so you can change the value here. When you go and click it can change the value 2000 So, it will come at Let's find remember that you read written you write here 2000 fine, you have to write here 6000 and it will go up okay, can see that level three, the total high net is 6000 when you're right here if you want the NC there, this is 2000 when you right here 1000 So, it will decrease from this line, when you right here 1000 it will come here at this place. So, do remember when, when you have to where you have to put the correct values that is very important at the beginning state. Right. So, this is how we create a level. Now, if you want to get out of this command is press escape two times, or just go to the Modify.

I'm clicking modify right. Okay, I'm out of the level right now. My, you can see that this is this is level two, it's a little bit different to see, it's a little bit problem to see here, this click this icon here, you can see this level fine. So you can when you you can see, this will change if you want to change this. So you can just drag it where you want, if you want more here below this, so you can use that fine or where you want you can test it accordingly. Okay, so these are the functions that I use here.

For more how to create a level is go to the architecture tab, go to this level button, fine. Now you can see we use this line command to use this level and now you can see See that there is one more option here that is picc lines. This is also the best option I really like this option. This is the best option to create a new level you can take this command line for this offset that you want suppose I want the grid line so I I write 150 fine. I take 150 of this offset, we go here, okay, this is this is 150 okay when you pick a line when you when I the 150 you can see in a while doing the zoom, I told you how you zoom it, you can use this command or zooming or you can scroll the button fine.

I like to scroll the button so you can when you come here you can see when you pick this line 150 See I put it here 150 when you go here, you can see that when you go to this dashed line, then you will find that they already offset as shown of 150. When you come here, you can see here also the 150 it's shown here. Okay? So it's depend on you, what do you need? I need 1500. So it's, we can see, this is the grid line.

Ration, if you want the below so you can put just just don't press anything this go here and, and when it's go to the blue, you can see the reference line here. So you can just click the left button, then you find the level for that is minus one five double zero. If I want to change this name, suppose I want to change like great So you can see that after clicking outside the rabbit confirm level rename, because you can see in the Properties panel here, the level one, level two, level three, level four, if you change the name of this, it will change in a floor plan as well as inside plan. So I want to change it. So I press Yes. So you can see that here.

It's great written here. Fine. So this is the very important factor in which you can change the name and or one more thing I want to discuss here. When you when you a you can see here, it's a structured plan. If you go to this plus sign, then you find that grade and level three are in the structure and if you want that is fine if you don't want any structure, because of I don't want this levels in the structure panel, I just go there and press the delete button of the keyboard fine when you you don't want the level three also just press and the red button. So, you can see that the structure panel is normal if if they are sub grades levels are not shown in this structure panel or or any of the panel.

So it will be not in this project Basel fine. So this is the very important to clear it don't that mash up if you don't have that much of use for this, suppose I don't need a great enough ceiling panel I just go to the grid and they look at us fine, this is one option and there is one more and then go to this architecture tab and this level and you find when you when you select this, okay, architecture tab to level And you, you can see plan view type, okay? Just click it land view type, then you find that select View type you create when you want to select if you just just now when I create a level of grid and level three that are also shown in structure panel if I don't need or don't want to put that in the structure panel, so what I did, I just click here, and I'm not in this command.

Now, if suppose I want don't want to use that next level in a floor or ceiling plan also. So I can use this only floor plan. Okay, so I just went press OK. Then when I take a new level is the offset here. offset of 2000 Okay, And just go here and you can see this blue cursor here and there is one more reference plane that shown that your do I want to create a roof level so, my roof level is at that point this click it one time, you can see this is level five, I just changed this name to my roof level fine. So, just click outside this it said you want to change this corresponding Miss I said yes. And you see the roof level I created.

Now one more thing is noticed here. Here you can see in a floor plan the roof level are shown, but in ceiling plan the roof level are not shown because I use that plan view types and I I want only this level in floor plan so it will show an Indian floor plan. So we want to learn one thing more That this level are always parallel to each other. Okay. So when levels are formed, it will not in an inclined plan, it's it is always in a parallel plan, okay. So, so main purpose of level is this is stabilize those that heights in your building, you need to you need to create, then elevation and section view, which you can manipulate different height of each of the levels, you can change their names, you can even have corresponding floor plans, which you have access from those levels will then I said you already it's a primary setup for a new project.

So this is very important for you. So, I hope you guys are interesting. Thanks for watching this
